Seekers ripped off this song and Dusty Springfield's brother Tom wrote the lyrics and the song became Carnival is Over!!!! UK#1 in 1965. This version is the first time I have heard it...it given me goose bumps...

They livened things up so nobody could claim to be bored that day. Terrific interpretation, however, I do still like the 'seriously' traditional.

Can anyone say who this orchestra is and where they are from?
Also - I saw the Omsk Russian Ensemble in London many years ago and they sang a version of Stenka Razin which held me spellbound. The Siberian women's voices are unique. Can anyone provide a link to that ensemble or to a Siberian women's choir?

Very good instrumental combination, full but not heavy, using a good balance. Also an exceptional arrangement (composition)
