leparks, sir, thank you so much for this video! It has really, really helped me. As soon as I watched it, I felt the fear leave me. I know this may only be temporary, but I felt instantly relieved. May God Bless you.
And for anyone who has fear of flying, please see this video. It definitely works! :)
you may have been frightened once by air turbulence. But whatever the cause, the messge has helped several people who've report ed. You can test by IMAGINING you're in a landing or air turbulence and see how you feel. If scary, play the message a few times until almost all the scary is gone.
I hate takeoffs and trubulence at the same timee ..that really suckss...i dont care about landing with turbulence or not ...cause i now i am near ..xD
I suggest 3 times but one time may do it. Imagine yourself getting on an airplane or being in one and if you feel nothing you're probably OK. If you feel anxiety, do it again and again until you feel quite calm. Loren
It has worked for a lot of people. There are always noises on takeoff and landing, so that's normal. And there are always ups and downs when flying, but they pass. Airplanes don't fall out of the skyf so not to worry.
Imagine yourself in the plane encountering some bumps and see how you feel.
That was amazing. i am supposed to fly Monday to see my sister in Maui. I have never flown alone in my life....i hope this holds that long so I can get there. Thank you.
As I was getting older the panic attacks and fear while flying started to become worse! I have no choice to fly as I need to for business. One night I came across this video and listened to it. The next week strangely I found that I was not as anxious and thought if it had something to do with it. Since then I have boarded aircrafts 6 times and was amazed at myself when I fell asleep during turbulence! I also don't have the anxiety prior to flying. I'm now convinced it's was this video!
How can it be? They say that at any given time there are 5000 planes in the air over the USA. There must be hundreds of millions of cars moving at any given time in the USA.
I was so scared that i was crying really really bad, well the good things my husband was there, but i felt no help what so ever. And I think that traumatized me. because i took another flight to chicago 3 months later and i had a panic attack, i couldnt breathe and i really wanted to get off the plane!! But i cooled down like halfways of the trip.
I have trouble on planes also but this always helps me - when you feel fear look at the flight attendant and tell yourself , , , if she or he is not afraid then why am I ? If there were anything to be afraid of they would be running for a seat belt. Then I simply say " If she can do this . . .I can. "
i think this did work for me. ive been pretending like if im there. (on the airplane) but nothing. im not scared!! But well see what happens on wed when i take my trip to chicago.
I get really scared at night. because one time i flew from florida to tx. (5 hour flight) what happened was i had my ipod on when we took off, and then when i took them off when we where up in the sky, my ears started to pop like crazy. I couldnt hear and well all the lights where off and it was verrry dark.
Leo, we make a fuss out of fear of flying because we're not flying the jet ourselves!
We're trusting a total stranger with our lives and I have finally convinced myself that the stranger is very trained and intelligent! He doesn't want to crash either!
Play the message imagining you are on the plane. If you feel calm, you're OK. Take lots of stuff to read and a sleeping pill. That's a horribly long flight. I've made at least 150 overseas trips and can't imagine anyone surviving a 20 hour flight. Bottom pain and boredom.
If you can imagine being on the plane and feeling OK, it's probably working. If you feel anxiety, it probably isn't. You can talk yourself out of the fear. If you can remember how it star ted that would help. Usually a bumpy ride.
Hmmm. Interesting. It may have worked a bit. I definitely feel less anxious thinking about it. Will have to wait and see when I fly to Rome in a few weeks...

could this "beep, disconnect!" technique work on other phobias. It cured my fear of flying!

I doubt many people agree with you. Driving to the store is statistially more dangerous.

allthough nobody is born afraid of flying, the trouble is that the very real possibility of crashing should naturally cause fear.
and flying is a lot more dangerous then driving when you account for the hundreds of thousands of times cars outnumber plains.

Play it several times, but once may be enough. You can always talk to your mind and tell it to stop it. Giving in just makes it worse.
