  • How is this an illusion?

  • @lego312 It is an illusion. You may be thinking about an optical illusion, that's something else.

This is really effective though. Favorited.

  • @lego312 Its a physical illusion. I think your thinking about an optical illusion. The physical illusion gives you an illusion of e.g. Weight and time.

  • its nice but.....ok

  • What program is this?

  • @Heltz21 3D Studio Max. The rig is called Max rig. It's free.

  • Not bad at all. I BELIEVE the ball is heavy. I would say to try and make it a bit snappier. My old lecturer called it fudge, where the movement is just a bit too even, controlled and measured. But still made the weight believable. :D

  • please i wanna know how to make the biped hold a box while Auto key is active

  • His AI isn't great... or he'd have figured it would have been easier to roll it...

  • If you want to create an even better illusion, make sure that as he's carrying the ball, you have him bending backward so that he's struggling to find the center of gravity between him and the ball. By doing so, it shows that the ball is heavy and weighs quite a lot.

  • Good illusion !!

  • Just as Richard Williams described :)

  • um how is that an illusion

  • He animates it to look like the ball is heavy. He could use the same scene and make it look as light as a piece of paper. Hes trying to make a feel of the ball being heavy which worked very well btw ;).

    Nice job Fidel

  • Thanks guys. This particular animation got me a great job as animator at Infinite Frameworks Studios. We've done a feature lenght movie called "Sing to the Dawn", and later a great action serial movie from canada, which I'm sure it'll be a big hit worldwide. I don't know if it is permitted to disclose for public, but better safe than losing my job lol.

  • very cool =]

  • 0_0

  • WOW! thats nice.

the only thing i would change is ease out the motion when he picks up the ball so it starts slow and then picks up faster. and the same when he sets it down.

  • can really feel the ball is heavy! great!

  • kool

  • Thats very good! Gotta learn this too ;)
