I went to school with Michael. Hadn't heard from him in years. Just found out tonight that he had passed away and what he had done with his life. He was an amazing artist. I have some things he drew in an old elementary school yearbook that showed some of his ability to draw at an early age. He was a truly amazing artist. I wish I would have known of his work as it was coming out and been able to follow it. His work was truly amazing.

Unfortunately he is most definitely deceased. His cancer, Chrondrosarcoma, an aggressive cancer of the bone, finally took his life. Which is both sad and horrible. He had suffered alot in recent years, due to the tumours returning, and chemo, but he still kept drawing. Remarkable that he was able to. Wish he had beaten it, but at least he no longer suffers. What I found humbling was he apologized for being late with a book due to his illness. Artists who are healthy and late have no excuse.
