  • your site goodlifediet.con coming soon, never came

  • @24kvideo I know, sorry about that. The domain expired and I'm having to re-evaluate things. I'm happy to help in any way I can one-on-one, though. Feel free to send me a message anytime :)

  • So drinking Koolaid with sugar is bad?

  • meat is not the solution

  • banana will shoot your insulin to the roof, eat fats more and make it a primary source of energy, pls stp promoting fruits to maintain blood sugar.. fruits are not good at all..eat veggies..

  • @heart6562 Come on man... at least get your facts straight.

Fructose which is the primary sugar in fruit DOESN'T TRIGGER INSULIN RESPONSE! It's why the USDA has listed fruit as a diabetic friendly food.

  • @heart6562 Fats cannot be converted into glucose which is a fuel required by every cell in your body. If you want a quick drop in mental health, drop your carbs.

  • Overweight, no pigment, blotchy skin, balding, lacking vibrancy that rawfoods give you, acne under his chin, dark circles under his eyes.

Why would you ever wanna learn from someone who looks sick?

  • Great, so let's "dismantle" one myth in lieu of another... caloric excess makes you fat, not one specific element in foods. Cut out the fat and people turn to sugar; cut out the sugar and they will turn to something else. The reason people consistently miss the point is that they don't want to admit that they have a FOOD addiction, not a "fat" or a "sugar" addiction.

  • Man craves sugar because his body wants Fruit .

Fruit is an extremely nutritiousness food. Meat is the least important food. Millions of people have lived long lives, without ever consuming any meat. Fat is converted into fat cells 10X easier and than sugar.

Sugar is like jet fuel.... it burns very quickly.

Fat burning much slower ... is stored in fat cells.

  • @WOB1010 I agree. Meat should be eated when you need protein. Ie - that's what soreness is. An indicator for a need of protein.

How are people saying fruit will make you fat? That's utter rediculiousness. I eat 30 bananas a day, and 10 dates a day which is like 5000 calories and I dont gain a lb of weight. I just provide my body with the glucose it needs to FUEL every fuckin cell there is.

  • no point to have protein shakes as u need to get your protein from FOOD!!! when u eat a meal like eggs and bacon and u dont eat carbs with that(no juice,no fruit,no sugar)you will burn those protein in the eggs and becon for fuel.. u want protein to be used for protein metabolic function and not fuel!! as i said in my other comment learn more from dr.Peat.. u advice eating grains.. LoL!!!

  • well if u read any thing on dr.Ray Peat website about sugar.. u might wanna change your mind.. polyunsaturated fats do make us fat as they are antithyroid while saturated ones are prothyroid!! good luck with your jurney!!

  • Also, don’t make the mistake of turning to sugar-free foods. Artificial sweeteners are even more dangerous. They increase your sugar addiction, and come with a variety of nasty side-effects.

  • Fats can make you fat if you eat too much of it. Let's make that clear.

  • @talusan909 Try watching this documentary movie called "Fat Head", it's made by a guy named Tom Naughton. It's very informative.

  • ye but fat does actually make you fat . . . . . .

  • @redrizzla1989 That's incorrect. Fat doesn't make you fat. Do some research and learn how your body utilizes fat, sugar, protein, and other components of food to keep you alive, and how excess carbohydrates are the bigger culprits in making people fat. Look up the function of insuline in the body, and how excess intake of sugar leads to diabetes.

  • @SanDiegoSouth I really would, bt im not interested enough

  • @redrizzla1989, of course you're interested. You just don't like to be told you've been misinformed. Fat is an essential component of life and does not inherently make you fat. Sugar is also an essential component of life, but an excess amount of sugar gets converted and stored as fat in the body, while fat is utilized by the body as building blocks of organs, blood vessels, brain matter, etc. Try watching this documentary called "Fat Head", by Tom Naughton, it's very imformative.

  • @SanDiegoSouth Na mate, honest. I was interested a long time ago when i wrote the comment you replied to, but i go through phases of being interested in different things. So correct someone elses misinformed comment. You were guessing when you said I just don't like to be told i've been misinformed, you only know my youtube name, you don't know anything about my personality. I'm guessing you like the feeling of correcting people? bloody smart arses ay?

  • @redrizzla1989, when someone's blatantly wrong and misinformed, abso-fuckin-lutely. The more you know, the better off you'll be, but don't take my word for it, you should look up yourself. Eating fat doesn't make you fat.

  • @SanDiegoSouth Right i done a quick google and apparently "the main culprit is sugar and refined carbohydrates, not fat." cant be fucked reading the whole thing but looks like you got a point, though im sure if i ate a plate of bacon fat everyday my body fat percentage would increase massively, because i ate fat

  • @redrizzla1989, LOL, now you're getting into the realm of good vs. bad fats, which is a whole different question. No nutritionist who advises to eat less sugar/carbs, and to increase fatty foods would recommend eating a plate of bacon everyday, but would say that cutting out fat because you've been taught to believe it would result in weightloss is the wrong approach. They'd say eat healthier sugars, healthy fats proportionately.

  • @redrizzla1989, Tom Naughton on "Fat Head" lost weight and lowered his cholesterol on a month long all McDonalds diet of burgers/breakfast sandwiches, and keeping his carb intake to about 100g/day (which meant cutting out big glasses of soda and the french fries). He was challenging Morgan Spurlock's "Supersize Me", and showed that the myth about fat leading to weight gain is pretty off the mark.

  • @SanDiegoSouth Because protein doesn't turn into energy, the body has to convert fat for energy. Problem is your robbing your body of glucose which comes from carbohydrates which is needed for EVERY cellular process. Thats why people on atkins diet are zombies. THEY ARE LACKING GLUCOSE!

  • @BlakeAnthonyLewis, you dufus, I'm not advocating the Atkins Diet, or any other "no carb diets". What we've ALL been talking about is the fact that people eat TOO MANY CARBS/TOO MUCH SUGAR, AND DON'T GET ENOUGH EXERCISE. People by and large eat more sugar/carbs than it's really designed to handle. OF COURSE I understand know that carbs/sugar provide energy, and there's enough in the food we eat without the added sugars to get this done.

  • @SanDiegoSouth Too many carbs? Dude, I eat 500 grams of carbs daily, and haven't gained a lb of fat in 2 years. My diet consists of 4000-5000 calories, and about 80% coming from fruit.

How can there still be an arguement here. Look up all fruitarians. None are overweight.

The problem comes from processed carbs, and manmade foods.

  • @BlakeAnthonyLewis, then stop trying to make yourself sound smarter than everyone else. You're doing exactly what you're supposed to be doing. I've been saying all along that "processed carbs and manmade foods" are the places where people are sabotaging their diets.

  • @SanDiegoSouth Just stop dissing sugar man.

  • @BlakeAnthonyLewis, don't tell me to stop "dissing" sugar. If you truly understand the science of human biology and how to control weight, you'd understand exactly what James Hahn is saying in his video clip here. Eating more sugar than the body needs for energy gets converted into fat on the body. Study, and learn about insulin's roll in this, and you'll begin to understand what I'm saying.

  • @BlakeAnthonyLewis, people have been mislead into believing that fat makes you fat, and that "low fat" foods will make you skinny, when sugar abounds in these foods, and the opposite of their weightloss goals are achieved.

  • @SanDiegoSouth, and furthermore, I'm not EVEN saying to eat a high fat diet. To clarify it until it gets knocked into your head, I've said that eating a diet that's healthy, with the right amount of fat, protein, carbs, vitamins and minerals, and getting a healthy amount of exercise are the way to go.

But to say that eating "low fat" has been the real lie, because sugar that's found in "lowfat" foods sabotages people's diets.

  • @BlakeAnthonyLewis, I just finished saying that eating fruit and vegetables are the healthy source of carbohydrates in anyone's diet.

  • @BlakeAnthonyLewis, the body is designed to take sugar, convert some to instant energy, and converts the rest to fat, while protein (a component of muscles) and fat (a component of organ cells), are the building blocks of the body. A well balanced diet of enough carbs to energize, protein to build muscle, fat to nourish cells, vitamins to keep cellular activity in check, is the key to keeping a healthy weight, lowering cholesterol, decreasing heart disease, and stop cancer.

  • @SanDiegoSouth Who's to say how much glucose the body really needs? My theory is, when you get your energy from fruit, it fuels cells more, doesn't store shit. Almost like putting premium gas in the tank.

You focus on all these diseases that are all coming from processed shit, and shit that humans arent meant to eat. Grains are for rats and birds, dairy is for newborns, nuts and seeds are toxic, and destroy enzymes. Refined oils, even for supplementation. NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION!!!!

  • @BlakeAnthonyLewis And dont even get me started on processed bullshit filled with fillers, chemicals and preservatives.

  • @BlakeAnthonyLewis, there's a difference between eating healthy sources of sugar, like fruits and vegetables, and eating food that's been filled with refined, synthetic, and derivative sugars. AGAIN, a well balanced diet is the key. When fat is removed from foods, most of the flavor of that food is lost, forcing producers to add sugar, which in turn makes people fatter because there's hidden sugar in so much of the food people eat.

  • @SanDiegoSouth Now your talking. Except I really only believe that you understand the basic science behind this. please just keep an open mind and continue to expand your knowledge here.

  • @redrizzla1989 Hello....!!! Everyone is saying carbs is the enemy... there's a reason people are fat. They think carbs are bad!!!!! PROCESSED MAN MADE FOOD IS THE CULPRIT. GRAINS IS THE CULPRIT, AND YES THEY ARE A CARBOHYDRATE! BUT NOT ALL CARBS ARE THE PROBLEM. Humans are not meant to eat grains. When you do you become mal-nutritious because of the properties in the bran of the grains. You're all insane.

  • @BlakeAnthonyLewis That's why Asians who's staple food (which they eat in EVERY MEAL) is WHITE RICE... NEVER GET FAT!!!! BECAUSE THE BRAN FROM THE GRAIN HAS BEEN REMOVED WHICH ALLOWS THE MACRONUTRIENTS TO GET ABSORBED. Also asians eat their rice with veggies which basically sweeps the rice out of their intestines. Americans eat grains by themselves, and expect what...? To get something out of it?

  • @SanDiegoSouth regurgitated bullshit.

  • @BlakeAnthonyLewis, you're the one that's bullshitting here, buddy. Educate yourself before you lead people down the wrong path. Excess sugar intake forces the body to turn it into fat on the body, and eating a so called "low fat" diet makes people fatter than they would be if they just eat less sugar, eat a well balanced diet, and get more exercise.

  • @SanDiegoSouth Come on man. Your saying that excess sugar intake forces the body to turn it into fat on the body. HOW CAN YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THAT FRUIT CONTAINS SUGARS. I GET 500 GRAMS OF SUGAR DAILY, AND DONT GAIN WEIGHT. WHY ARE YOU CONFUSED!!!! THE ISSUE IS FAT. Imagine pouring fat into a bunch of marbles... every single one is coated with fat, which doesn't allow the sugar to transport properly.

The problem is high fat diet, and processed foods.

  • @BlakeAnthonyLewis, you're a complete egomanic. I JUST SAID, AND HAVE BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG that fruits and vegetables are the healthy choice in sugar-intake. What I've also been talking about here is the fact that FAT DOES NOT MAKE YOU FAT. You need a well balanced meal, exercise, and leading a healthy lifestyle (no smoking, drinking, etc) to cut down on the chances of heart disease.

  • @BlakeAnthonyLewis, Educate yourself.

  • I show this video to everyone and no one believes and calls me a moron. Wtf is happening to this world? Fat in food has a very derogatory name. It should be called someone else so people don't think that the fat on your food is also the same as the fat on your tummy. Stupid ass government is making people fat and stupid. Sugar should be a illegal drug. It's as addictive as tobacco and the majority of it is not natural. Marijuana is natural, but of course, it's illegal and deemed bad

  • @XenSmithy Thanks for the support XenSmithy!!

  • @XenSmithy

A recent study shows refined sugar may be 4 times more addictive than

cocaine. Natural drug rehab centers (only 5 in the country) have been

using IV treatments with amino acids, vitamins, and minerals

to end cravings for hard drugs like cocaine & meth AND soft drugs

such as REFINED SUGAR! AMINOKIT Recovery Formula is available

online and is the IV treatment in oral (i.e. capsules) form. It's so effective

because it's processed by compounding pharmacists.

  • Fat is essential !

But we get about a hundred times more than we need.

Yes your body craves Fruit , but our brains know how to feed that craving with refined dextrose sugar. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables and be healthy!

By the way , no offence but you look a little pudgy.

  • @WOB1010 Well, I do have 13% body fat, so if that's pudgy, I'm guilty as charged!

  • @WOB1010 how the hellll does he look pudgy???

  • @WOB1010

I think he looks very good. You sound like a vegetarian. Unfortunately,

studies show that HIGH-SUGAR/vegetarian diets tend to be unhealthy in the

long-term. In fact, recent studies have linked FRUIT sugar (i.e. from whole,

unprocessed fruit) to CANCER. Science has long shown that eating lots of

fruit can cause WEIGHT GAIN! Studies show slim people can have

disease-promoting fat around vital organs. Eat animal protein/fat and be healthy!

    Google: PETA Harms Animals Chemicals.

  • @WOB1010 He looks pudgy, and has no skin pigment. Honestly, if he fell over and died right in front of this video camera I would not be surprised. He looks ill.

  • here is something that never gets talked about. what about calories? can you make a video about calorieS? should we still have a 2k a day diet?

  • So if I cut down on the sugar, then i won't get diabetes later in life?

  • @DarkWolfen It's that simple! Back in the 50's and 60's everyone was smoking cigarettes asking, "Why is everyone dying of cancer?" Now everyone is chugging sugar-laden soft drinks and eating highly processed foods laced with sugar asking, "Why is everyone getting diabetes?"

Stop eating sugar and you most likely won't get diabetes.

  • @JamesHahnII How are natural sugars in fruits and vegetables not bad for me, but processed ones are?

  • @DarkWolfen Fruits and vegetables are full of all kinds of other things that are good for you, most notably fiber. It is the fiber in fruit that helps to ensure you don't experience a drastic rise in blood sugar after eating it. Also, eating fruit at meal time with the appropriate amount of protein helps too :)

  • Your a young guy. You're programmed to simply repeat what you've read, and treat it as fact. If you keep your current career for a number of years, and have the opportunity to actually observe numerous people's weight struggles, you will learn the truth. Excessive sugar is definitely bad, but you are doing a disservice by your simplistic explanation. Fat must be dramatically reduced for long lasting health.

  • It's aproximatly 10 times easier for a human fat cell to store fat (oil/faty acids) ...than to store sugars (Carbohydrates /Glucose) Not only is eating fat the fastest way to gain fat ...

It's also the stuff that contains cholesterol (LDL) that clogs up your artiries (hardning of the artires) Resulting in diabetes II ,heart attacts, etc.

  • @WOB1010 Nope fat isn't the fastest was to get fat, carbohydrates are. Excess carbs are stored as fat. Yeah a human fat cell stores fat well because it is essential, that is why it is easier. Our body doesn't need excess carbs and esp. complex carbs. People eat a bagel for breakfast and sit on their asses all day at a desk job. There blood sugar crashes, they put on weight and then need a 5 hour energy at 1 pm. Get more educated, fat is essential.

  • Eating foods with HDL lowers LDL levels in the blood. Your body creates cholesterol naturally on its own. High LDL levels cause hardened arteries because it's a sign that there is damage to the inner lining of the arteries (inflammation) caused by stress, lack of exercise, excess sugar intake, smoking, etc., that causes your body to produce cholesterol in order to repair itself, leading to cholesterol plaque (high LDL) within the walls of the arteries at the site of inflammation.

  • Why is it that this guy looks like he needs to lose about 20lbs?

  • The obvious truth is = eat more than you burn, you gain weight. An equal amount of fat has more calories than sugar, but too many people are addicted to sugar and intake load of soda.

  • Comment removed

  • @WOB1010 umm buddy. please tell me what fat is broken down into to be used as energy. and please tell me what the body stores as fat when it has excess amounts of it ( HINT: Glucose)

  • @WOB1010 It's the act of eating LOADS of sugar, even in the absence of fat, that increases fat storage in your body. Sugar can be converted into fat in your body if you don't bum that energy off in time.

  • sugar is harder to kick than even pot. I have never been addicted to anything more than sugar. I eat cookies in the night and when I have gotten up to go pee, I thave actually gone to have a cookie before my urgent need to pee. I actually think my body wakes up on purpose (not to use the restroom), just to have the sugar. Being fat sucks, I hate it but I love sugar.

  • Thank you for the video my friend!

    Very helpful!

  • 6 thumbs up from the Goots

  • Thanks my brother Goots!!

  • burn baby burn!

  • well done.

  • GREAT Job James!!!!

  • Great video. Sugar should be a controlled substance!

  • Comment removed

  • "guy to see when you're ready to break free" very catchy, nice video James.

  • Well it is not the first time I hear about it!

In UCTV there is an hour conference called "The Bitter Truth" that explain in details why sugar is bad.

  • Thanks for sharing this--this is great vid--everyone should see it. Still not convinced that sugar's bad for you?

  • Yes, great video! I blogged about it way back when it only had 580 views. It's AWESOME to see it's taken off the way I hoped it would!

  • This is HOT! I feel your passion!
