my school did this play, for some physco reason someone got the idea to use a Guilliotine with an actual blade, but they somehow cheated us so the guy kept his head but we saw a head fall into a basket, i don't get how they made the fake head... but it scared the shit out of the whole school

Pretty good except that the word guillotine is mispronounced. The L's aren't pronounced.

I wouldn't say the choreo was terrible, but I don't think it is organic to have synchronized choreo in this song. I'd rather see intense staging.

But it was good, the ensemble and solos as well as the costumes/lighting/sets were well done.

i agree that pimpernel is not a dance show and the actors are therefore not necessarily dancers, but the choreography in itself was a tad weak. i saw this song performed at a thespian district competition in high school and the choreography was much better. this is a creepy song, and the production i saw was made even creepier by the fact that at times the actors seemed to move as one. this was still a good rendition though, better than others that i have seen

Thank you! At the end of the day the Pimpernel is NOT a dance show - therefore the cast are NOT dancer. This show was a fantastic and the cast and company worked there butts off. I'm very proud of it to.

we werent as bad as you make out and have an extremely talented cast!

we also won a noda award for this show!

im sorry but i have to agree with xChineseMaidenx.. im a fellow dancer and it is true the choeography was bad the vocals were off terribly.....and it looks like it need sum work.... i should no i am a dancer!

wow, this is really good. we are doing this show this friday and saturday. we have, what 5 revolutionaries that are all girls. lol. this is way better than ours will be

Those people are actually revolutionary but i don't see the prisoners that actually get there head chopped off the revolutionary are actually really happy about it because they are finally getting their revenge (good play i'm doing it this Friday and Saturday, Me soldier)

I dont think its that bad-have you seen some of the other amature shows, also in the french revolution the common french people were pleased that people were being beheaded

I agree the Choreography is AWFUL. Are they strippers? They SHOULD be horrified that people are being massacred? Impossible to tell.

No, they are not strippers, and no they are not horrified that people are being massacred. See, the people that are so enthusiastic about the aristocrats being massacred, were called revolutionaries. These people were poor, and were killing all of the wealthy, for being so wasteful with all of this money, when they were starving, and suffering. They were GLAD these selfish people were being killed. I get to be one of these aristocrats in this musical, since my school is doing. I love this song!

@andythehammer this is the french revolution. they (the french) are choosing to kill the english. its a revolt. the whole song is honouring the guillotine

@TheEpicfoehl who are the nobles? i'm was taking a french class and my teacher said that they killed King Louis and Queen Marie Antoiniette with the Guilliotine.
