You are absolutely right, I like alot of today's stuff, but there's so much "ballad" stuff, and it all sounds the same.I guess they could say that about every decade, because they do have their individual sounds, the 70'S AND 80'S are my FAVORITE, all the really good songs, and the really great singers were at their Best. I think some of the writers/ singers that write need to go back to writing/making some Country Honky tonk songs. They would be hits!

The things Marty plays and records are things that Nashville won't touch because they are too country. The new "country" singers don't have a clue about this type of music. What they put out isn't country, it's just twangy pop is all. This is the real deal.
