Hip hop is a culture which began with poetry and "Ghetto" ppl were more "poor" people, using rap to get their voice out about their situation in life and what they go through. Rap became commercial and destroyed in the early 90's till now. Stop watching tv and listening to the radio, thats not "real hip hop". Real hip hop is beautiful.
