Dave Gahan's wore Nitzer Ebb t-shirt around the release of
Violator a lot. The same label, they toured together, Flood produced both bands, they influenced each other. Come Alive has this Mode trademark sound. Alan, music misses you
To clarify...This the one and only mix of this track in existence (commercially) that I'm aware of so it can't be a remix...If anyone knows of another mix of this track out there, please let me know.
They've collaborated tons of times and douglas/alan are good friends. Alan also produced the entire album Ebbhead for Nitzer Ebb.. one of their most popular records and easily their most commerically successful record after That Total Age.
@veridical1 It wasn't a one time project... the whole Ebbhead album produced by Wilder+Flood (=same team as Violator) came afterwards, then lots of Recoil songs with McCarthy, ... plus this one now.

If Depeche Mode wouldnt like Nitzer Ebb a lot, they hardly would have taken them through whole Europe as their support act in 1988 :P
---

i dont know all the dates, but i have to agree , they also supported NEP in 2010 ;-)

This was a collaboration of Nitzer Ebb and Alan Wilder of Depeche Mode at the peak of their powers. Too bad they didn't take the project further...
veridical1 3 years ago 9
Totally agree. Having read the (huge!) DM biography, it seems that this project did not go very smoothly at all, maybe thats why...shame though

Well, if you mean further cooperation, you should check out Recoil's 2nd album.
