I have to say I don't really rate Michael Crawford at all. Even though that's likely to get me lynched by a whole lot of Phans. I really don't like him! Besides, Ramin Karimloo did the Phantom far better IMO (and I mean in Phantom not Love Never Dies). Michael Ball is without a doubt a fantastic singer who I've adored since I saw him in the original london Les Mis cast.

Michael Crawford IS a great singer, but he will never beat Michael Ball in this song.

The difference between MC and MB is that MC is a trained singer, MB isn't - his voice is natural. And I think MB is the better actor of the two - he really knows how to put the right amount of emotion into a song.

Michael Ball is really only unknown in the US. In London, he has been the lead in MANY of Andrew Lloyd Webber productions. He basically replaced Michael Crawford in the original production of "Phantom" when Crawford got "too old" for it. He has also had many British TV specials & has recorded several albums. Get a copy of 'Anderew Lloyd Webber - Celebration" or search for musical performance by Michael Ball. You won't be disappointed.
