I dunno, R.O.D might have been a better theme to use, but this one matches up quite nice. Hawaii 5-0 just seems better because it's Hawaii 5-0. I can't see Dragnet or Starsky & Hutch being better than this one. I might need to listen to Barretta and Dr. Who to see how those work out. Maybe The Man from U.N.C.L.E. would be cool. I still think Fraggle Rock would pwn anything else out of the water along with the classic Duck Tails theme song.
Just tried listening to the R.O.D. theme over the top of this clip...and it does work well, better than I expected. Particularly the scene shifts from about :50 onward.

ha, I like how the title is almost synchronized with the final chord.

"3,2,1" *Door Breaks open* "Let's jam."
That was masterful.

I like this. Best one yet. It makes all the action seem less like brutal violence and more like hijinks and physical comedy.

Very cool. It actually matches the trailer much better. Somehow, though, it just doesn't seem as awesome...
Just goes to show: 70s show themes beat anime show themes.

I don't know.
The Cowboy Bebop soundtrack in general is amazing. There's a reason the band put together to do it played sold out concerts.
(The Seatbelts, BTW)

Ah, try late 90s.
Although granted, it's invoking an earlier era.
