Definetely much better than the other video lol! Hey If I do all the body working myself and just want to shoot my car with paint by a shop how much will it cost in USD?
@thekidwess I just fully rebuilt my 305 and it runs hella strong, but I dumped a good bit of money into it. Best thing you can do for these motors is gasket match the cylinder heads, tune your carb properly, and open up the exhaust. The biggest weak point for most 305s is the compression, but I dropped the cash for flat top pistons and had my block decked and the heads shaved. Pros: people give me funny looks when I tell them it's a 305. Cons: can't run anything but 93 octane.
But remember, they are old cars, so they need care and maintenance. When you check or change the oils regularly and don't trash the car, they are almost unbreakable.
@pizzano21 I gotta agree,I recently got a caballero(gmc's el camino) as my first car and 33 years without maintenance it still runs and sounds like ol muscle,it aint pretty though lol
@Konformation07 Thnx! All the paint is new. The hood is new too, the old one was to rusted to be used again, so i scraped it and got a new -rust free- hood. I'm not sure what to do with the wheels. I want 17's in the front and 18's in the back, and bring it down a couple of inches...any ideas?
I have had some stuff in the bed, but i dont actually use it as a work truck.. I use it to go to work though ;)
2. Don't get bigger tires or heave different size tires it's not that attractive imo
3. don't bring it down because you will compromise it's integrity basically what I'm saying is you will have a lowrider and that's not cool at all that's stupid that's what some el camino owners in the states do and that doesn't look good at all
What do your co-workers think of it and have people been in the back?
@Konformation07 Hmm no, the last thing i want is a lowrider, haha. If it's going to be anything else than this, it's going to be more of a prostreet kind of thing.
I have seen some vid's here on youtube from Camino owners with beautifull cars with really aweful 19 or even 20" rims. You won't see that here in Holland ( and thank god for that!)

how much for the paint?
SloanKetering 1 year ago
@SloanKetering
I am a carpainter myself, so i did everything myself, with help of my mate Jorrit...
I only paid for the materials used, so in usd i would guess around $400.-
In any other case one would pay anything between 4 and 6000.- for a GOOD paintjob in Holland.

They are perfect to own and drive.
