  • I was born in '72 and wish I could go back and experience the magic of that time.

  • She took an Arrow in the Knee

  • I was there in 1963. PP&L showed up in a Stationwagon on the ellipse. What a wonderful time and what a brave group of souls.

  • Sadly, ruined by the introduction by one of the most vile people ever to disgrace the planet.

One can easily imagine what Mary Travers thought of this preening, insufferable ("but perky!") egotist.

  • her solo career sucked big time!

  • She had one massive head twitch.

  • puff the magic dragon .there was far to many hidden messages in the hippy folk music , me thinks

  • Rest in peace baby

  • I met the group backstage after one of their concerts and Mary took twenty minutes out of her time to talk to me. <

  • Goodbye Mary, We will miss that beautiful voice.

  • Miss you Mary.

  • It seemed like they kinda trashed Peter and Paul during the first minute or so of the video. Was that necessary?

  • A sad loss, as many other teenage boys I fell in love with Mary too. Rest in peace with the angles!

  • We remember you Mary. You were an inspiration to us.

  • The first PP&M album was *my* first LP album, also, and I've worked in social causes my entire adult life. A very large part of my world changed dramatically when Mary and PP&M died, but their causes (and mine) still go on.

  • She was a complete beauty, inside and outside: a fantastic singer, a great human being whose work and good deeds will remain. I was driving my car when I heard of her passing, had to park it in the curb for some minutes so that I could cry...A blessed soul, I've always loved you and always will!

  • So sad indeed.R.I.P. Mary. You will always be greatly missed from this big fan.............

  • RIP Mary

  • Damn, I had no idea she passed away. RIP

  • this is were you are glad to say i lived through this grat time

  • im only 14 and mary was my role model growing up (still is). i cried for HOURS when i heard that mary died.

but shes still alive in all our hearts, everyone that loved her as i did.... we (young peeps) gotta keep folk music alive for her. i know that what she'd want us to do. <3

  • i watched puff the magic dragon (cartoon movie series) everyday. this group will always be one of the biggest parts of my childhood. I'm going to turn 16 soon, and i don't think it is coinsidence that her beautiful voice is one of the only things i can still remember from childhood. long live Mary, and long live the land of pasta, where puff the magic dragon and mary live in infinity!

  • Im Just one -- but Mary Travers Will live in my heart forever as my bench mark of beauty and a Strong Woman --- been looking for her ever since --- !

  • I just loved Peter, Paul and Mary when I was young, and bought their albums. God Bless Mary Travers...may she be joyously singing in Heaven.

  • Puff the Magic Dragon

    Not one of us

    With total LOVE for Mary

    Understands Children

    Understands Importance with our memories

    Than Mary did

She loved her voice and understood the power it provided

    And she loved her songs

    Live long PUFF

    Live forever Mary

  • I will miss her everyday, for the rest of my life! I sobbed when the news came on and broke she passed. I have loved her & P,P&m All my life! They are a part of me! Tahnk you soo very much mary!

  • I last saw her perform at little Lena's cafe in around 2000 in Saratoga. Still wonderful then.

  • MARY WILL ALWAYS LIVE ON THANKS TO THE GOOD PEOPLE ON YOUTUBE...

  • I find comfort in knowing that as long as we have her music, she's still with us. :)

  • @JohnGee1977 Yes, thank you.

  • @JohnGee1977 yes indeed

  • That's sad . I loved her, and i am only 13!

  • what a beautiful tribute to have on the news.

  • I'm grateful for the music from PP&M. I wonder what Mary thought about the recent years of decay concerning peace and civil rights.

It's only a matter of time before similar marches will appear.

  • @Baracheta Fight the fight!.

Way back then, even 'we' were not the first.

Check out Arlo Guthrie, for instance.

    You may well be surprised.

    Think Bob Dylan.
