wow, is this a competition for people who haven't danced for long, ie new to ballroom? 1:32-1:38 is so bad and its not just her, watch his kick sequence its so child like.
He's more stable, softer, calmer and collected. There isn't the feel of throwing his feet and arms around for the sake of the action. There is a greater intention in his steps, his kicks, his wave. Is 15 more "dazzling"? Yes. Quick? Yes. Jerky and snappy? Yes.
For what my expected interpretation of Jive is, 14 is better; and "better" is relative at the end of the day to who you're being compared against anyway and who is judging you and on what expectations.
Is 15 a bad dancer? Are they a bad couple? No, not all, they're fantastically skilled. Both she and he is a very talented dancers. I've seen their other dances and both are very skilled. His approach to the dances differs from mine, however, and so for me, looking for something other than aggressiveness and spins and jumping, his dancing puts me off. For some, *that's* what dancing is about. For others, it's different.
Average for a pro is $40,000 annually. But that's in America and if they're working for a studio full-time. It varies... dancers don't make as much as it appears they do.
depends on which level you get. the higher level you achieve the more money you make. my coach was a semi finalist in blackpool and makes over 150 000 per year as a full time coach, travelling to teach. He is not doing any Pro-Am which is really worth for the money. My older coach does pro-am and coaching and he was pro ten dance world champions 5 times so he makes around 300 000$ per year
14 is better than 15. So is 13. But now look at 11 and compare him to 15. See how soft Zoran is? See how grounded and in control of his movements he is? No flailing, no seizure, no floating in the air....
Looks like she was a half-a-beat late, that turn throwing her off for whatever reason, and sometimes that's all it takes. Jive is fast, man... I give her props, she finished well.
