Lhasapoos aren't purebreds. They're a mix of a Lhasa Apso and a poodle. The only few health problems they get when they're a lot older is just eye problems. Junk getting in their eyes that needs to be cleaned but that's really about it. I know cause I have one :) and she's 14 years old
ya i have a lhasa poo too i dont get it they can swim people always say they cant and they'll sink lol but mine can swim he doesnt like water very much tho, there eyes water alot tho and they like to rub there faces on your leg or anything. mines white and black and looks like hes wearing a tux ahaa

We have a beautiful 14-month-old white Lhasapoo named Bentley. We got him last August and he's the absolute joy of my life!! Yes, his barking can get a bit annoying at times but we deal with it. I agree that these dogs are very smart. Bentley's certainly no exception. I love taking him for long walks on the shores of Lake Ontario. We'll soon head to a family reunion at a cottage and it'll be interesting to see whether or not he likes the water. We got him a life jacket. LOL!! :o)
Good to know - Yes, I read about them being used as watch dogs in Monastaries for the Monks in China waaay back when. Obviously, they weren't used as watch dogs for their size... Glad the barking will mellow out a bit. The shrillness at present is driving me nuts. He's VERY bonded to me and goes nuts when I leave the room even. Wants to be on top of me all the time. Loved the video - I got a Lhasa poo that looks just like this one - we named him COSMO and he's great. Very smart and easy to train. Just need to figure out how to get him to QUIT barking!!
You're not. Lhasa Poos take after Lhasa Apsos more than poodles. Lhasa Apsos loud barking and keen hearing are notorious and were often used as watchdogs because they'd bark at every creak and bump in the night. It'll calm down with age a little, but expect it to bark atleast a little when it hears someone moving about, or a neighbor shuts their car door. And to most especially bark and yelp it's head off when you come home or when there's a knock at the door. I personally never minded it much

There's no such thing as a purebred Lhasapoo..... Lhasa Apso mixed with a Poodle = Lhasapoo. LOL. Cute nonetheless.

that's exactly like my Lhasa poo! whenever the door bell rings or someone knocks, she just barks like crazy! (along with my maltese and yorkie mix)
