The media only focuses on video game addiction because, of course, video games are their scapegoat. Any time video games are even REMOTELY to blame they always focus on video games. And of course, most of those things you mentioned could very possibly be addicting if you enjoy them. It's a non-substance based addiction, but it's still an addiction, like it or not.
