  • I'm in the process of still trying to learn this on piano!!! The time signatures are so freaky and so are the rhythms o.O

  • Is this all MIDI Controlled?

  • @TeeTownSounds No, this display was created using a hardware and software package from Light-o-rama.

  • We have someone here in Arvada, CO who does that too. Just amazing show.

  • Nice video!

  • Merry Christmas! God this song is awesome :)

  • Chip Davis and crew, you guys are AWESOME!!

  • I love this version!! You can just about every instrument known to man!!

  • Fans of Mannheim Steamroller just MAY enjoy "The Christmas Project" as well. It has a version of this song that you've probably never heard before.

    ( tinyurl DOTCOM/TCP2009 )

  • LOVE THAT SONG!!! :D

  • I will be seeing these guy on December 12th. Can't wait. Hope I can film these guys!!!

  • i can't wait to do this next year. i didn't have enough time this year to make the shows

  • It's October 16 and I'm ready for Christmas again!

  • yea i'm that way too! when it's almost halloween i start to play christmas songs on the piano! so much fun yet alittle to early! but fun!

  • Merry Christmas!

  • Merry Christmas to all and a happy 2009! Let us remember our loved ones that have passed on and our beloved troops!

  • I just love what MS does with traditional Christmas music. they put their own spin on it, without desecrating it.

    they have wonderful ostinato.

  • Awsome song and vid!

  • Beautifully-done! I've seen the Light-O-Rama programmer, and it seems to be much like the Grand Haven Musical Fountain programmer - if so, yes, it'll take a long time to program one of these. Grand Haven's fountain website says "one hour of programming per minute of show" and they're not kidding. Bravo, too, on using such a great song!

  • Are you willing to share what city and state this is located so people can see it in person? We have one in our city that is very similar and I'm wondering if it's the same one.

  • The display is located in Virginia.

    Merry Christmas!

  • Wow, we played this at our high school band concert as well. I was on tuba, so I had all those beats and I was following along with this video. I love it. The most amazing part was when we played what you have at 1:53, the 7 notes that lead into a much faster part. Everyone, from me up to the flutes played it and it was such an explosion of energy.

  • Hell Yeah Man! We just played it, and it was a whole bunch of high D's. Tuba myself too. The whole tuba section messed around with the music, though. Go Tuba!

  • this song is soo haunting! i love it

  • DANG...GREAT JOB MAN...How much did it take to get it like this?

  • A 4 minute song takes about 3ish hours to program. We use products from a company called Lightorama. It is both hardware and software.

Thanks for watching, and Merry Christmas!

  • hi it's me!! awesome vid.

  • i have a question.... how to you sleep at night with all those lights flashing?

  • Peacefully.

  • we r playing this in our band concert on wed. of next week

  • wow, u must have a lot of time on your hands cause that looks freakin dificult. very well synched

  • Thanks! It takes about 4-5 hours for a song this length.

    Merry Christmas!

  • have you seen the "origional" one? no offence but i think that one was better, but i also think he had no life. lol good job (love the song)

  • The original one? I assume you mean TSO Wizards in Winter from a display in Ohio. Carson did a pretty good job with that, though it was far from the original. Thanks for your comments and happy holidays.

  • Perfect.

  • cool vid though!

  • for some reason this song reminds me of Rocky.

huh. i don't really like it much, but that's just me..

  • i played this with my school band

  • i love this rock version of god rest ye gentlemen!! my school's band is going to play this song in christmas concert this year. I'm playing the trumpet's part.

  • this is really neat! Happy Holidays!

  • I love this song. Used to play it back in my high school band on Trombome. We all loved it so much we played it four years straight for our christmas concert. We played it as an Intro and Outro. The people loved it. Song is awesome. Nice Vid

  • best song ever hands down

  • hah

one and TWO and three and FOUR and

    :)

  • I love this song. This year this is the Mannheim Steamroller song we get to play. (Well, the band arrangement of it. xP) I'm mad that the director said no to me playing the bass to this. She is having her friend play it on string bass instead. xP

  • I always thought parts of this song sound like anime video game music. Nice vid.

  • that looks so cool!

    plus i love this song!

  • WoW! one of the coolest things i've ever seen! best christmas song ever!

  • Thanks!!

    Happy Holidays!!

  • Merry Christmas

  • I really like this Christmas song! It rocks!

  • im playing this in band and we sound pretty good

  • Very nice...

  • Thanks! Happy holidays.

  • LOL, that is FUNNY!

  • Love the music and great light show!

  • Thanks much!

  • wow, were playing this in band at, like, almost double tempo. and the bass slaps. i think when we finally get it together it might sound a bit better, then this, but i like faster songs anyways, so...

  • so do they have this dong playin outside too?

  • No, my neighbors would kill me. The music is broadcast over a low power FM signal. There is a lit sign in the yard displaying the frequency to tune to. Viewers tune to the appropriate frequency in their cars.

  • haha, ok. ya i was kinda worried for your neighbors. really cool by the way. so how do you set one of these up? wow

  • my fav. song from them. good job with the lights

  • Thanks!
