Jesus did NOT have a thing for Mary Magdalene or anyone else for that matter. Jesus was a single and chaste man all his life. Jesus NEVER married and never had any biological children! Mary Magdalene was just one of his female followers, nothing more. And to say otherwise is blasphemy!

Well, to help your wondering, if you ever feel the need, I recommend reading The Woman With The Alabaster Jar by Margaret Starbird and Holy Blood, Holy Grail by Michael Baigent/Richard Leigh/Henry Lincoln.
I've gotten so much out of the bible as a roman catholic, christian, agnostic, and atheist. But, to take the bible literally with all those missing gospels and scriptures is to be forcefully blind.
Anyway, check those books out. You won't regret it. : )

Still it is funny that they picked up a scene in which the players speak Turkish, moreover not a proper Turkish but an eye-scratching one, for a movie that could be of great interest for many communities none of which speak Turkish.

To say that the church has given the wrong image about Magdalene is absolutely absurd. First of all, this movie does NOT intend to "prove" anything; it just gives another point of view (even if the point of view lacks historical credibility )of Magdalene as found in the Gnostic gospels(which aren't exactly reliable history, by the way). Whoever beleives this movie is playing a suckers bet because the true Mary Magdalene is in the Bible, not in Gnostic texts written way after the New Testament.

Reformed / Saved Prostitute = GOOD.
No where is it a case around this. No where can you be a Practicing Prostitute and be good.
Now there is one case where you can be a Practicing Prostitute and be good and that is if that woman would be beaten or killed if she did not proform sex acts. This case yes. Now if she had free will she would be no good.
