  • Rest in Peace dear Bert.

I can listen to this image ripe tune all day and all night.

Blessed the day I first heard this group, featuring the rich tuning alternates of Bert Jansch.

  • Great song, bit too long as so many songs in that era....RIP Bert, thanks for the music!

  • When day has dawned and the cocks have crown.

He set the sword's point to his breast.

And parents has to turn off their content filters. ;)

  • I was twenty years old in Genova when i herd for the first time this song. Fantastic, here you can find blues ,rock ,folk and also psichedelia. Roberto 1950

  • about as sonically pleasing as you could hope for. love the harmonies, the tones the story....but my favorite part is conitued on cruel sister 6/6

  • i like how this song is like 4 maybe 5 or more song ideas and rhythms combined :D

  • THE song that sold the Pentangle to my ears~wonderous!

  • This should be over 18 minutes long.

  • Remarkable transformation from the solo Bert Jansch version

  • WOW! i played this thing RAW!

  • This is a brilliant version of the wonderful song that is on that great album. But this doesn't sound like the album version to me. Am I wrong, or this something different (it seems far more acoustic, and the long bridge isn't as irritating)?

In any case, "Cruel Sister" is one of the greatest albums ever made, and it's available on cd. Hurrah for Jacqui and Bert!

  • @Ethan1956 This the album version....for sure

  • brilliant

  • I love this music!

  • though baby she got none!!!!
