  • autocar is very good

  • good competitor for the pro drive p2

  • No ESP or ABS? Bring it on!! :D

  • i like steve's reviews

  • we NEED this in america

  • Sounds Great for a 3.7L Ford V6

  • Thank you, Steve. I really enjoy your reviews. You talk with such enthusiasm, and a level of experience that many others just don't have. Polish, even. Slick.

I envy that you got to drive this car. I never will. And, I don't see them selling many.

    Keep up the good work.

  • That is a nice car. Beautiful and sounds amazing.

That is how the McLaren MPwhateveritsnameis or the Noble should look like.

  • I like this car wish the US car companies would take a hint after all , this car already has a Ford motor in it. A good honest Car with a mid engine V-6 or a turbo

    4 , hell make it a twin turbo 4.

  • why did they had to do that shitty editing at 1:24 ?! the sound obviously doesn't match the video, it looks weird and stupid

  • @rapzeh4 Don't worry, they repeat that bit with the original sound right at the end. At 1;24 it's from the interior cam he was just talking to. I guess it was more interesting for us to watch that way than if it was inside the car. Could've synced it better though.

  • This car doesn't look bad at all... youre all crazy

  • looks wierd, sounds wierd ..its probably wierd

  • Looks like a Noble M600... IMHO

  • Steve, ur the legend of Autocar

No elitism nor nanny-ism in ur vocabulary - Cheers mate

  • nice

  • Maybe Ginetta is a good car .. but it´s a bit ugly ..

  • This car is like the Mastretta nice try but ugly.

  • Skyrim.

  • I think it looks great! Ginetta makes racing cars there are up against heavy hitters in the GT classes!!

Time to compare it with it's obvious rival: the Lotus Evora S! And please throw in the Cayman R for reference!

  • I absolutely love the look of this and the fact it has no driver aids what so ever and the NSX compliment, you just know it has been designed for those who love a PURE drivers car, I hate modern day cars because they are loaded with electronics, this is old school and frankly it comes down to driving skill keeping it on the road, again just how it should be :) Huge praise to Ginetta for this car and all the best for the future!

  • Crapy car and the led in the head lap...stop do that

  • @performancelosreyes Can't stop the leds. it's EU law.

  • @StewMM why every body copy the germans...try to do something new.

  • @performancelosreyes The G60 is nothing like a German car.

  • ginetta screwed the styling up big time...original car was a beauty

  • does it have airbags??

  • for 60k and British money at that, i think you would be better off not getting one. there is no value, e.g.: smiles per dollar. get a Miata or a used 911 and have more fun knowing that the dealer is close if you do mess something up or need service.

  • What's up with the Ginetta F400? Is it out yet?

  • @camryt The F400 has come and gone.

  • tesla rear elise front....fugly.

  • like it just as i did with the Farbio GTS but aesthetically whats with those LED's seems live manufacturers put them on for putting on sake

  • It seems to be burning oil as it burns rubber...

  • I prefer the G40r. The pricing is more reasonable and it looks better too, in my opinion.

  • Great looking car, why would you want a evora over this.

  • 1:22 spinning in third, lovely!

  • @ToMmaDj lets call that second but still nice indeed

  • Side vents worse than TR7

  • 3.7l v6 @310bhp? sounds pretty lame to me...

  • Was a fan of the original Farbio. Glad its still going. Great car.

  • also looks like it was designed by the person who did the Vauxhall VX220

  • the logo looks like it's been stolen from some bad 70's super car.

  • Ginetta seems like a company that's making cars specifically for me.

  • thumbs up if you saw the two mountain lions at 2:20 ! wtf

  • @tbrowniscool thought it was a goat/ sheep.. keen eyes though!

  • @whatashitname yeah i know... theres less honest disability benefits people than mountain lions inout amazing country

  • I was thinking this is like a modern Honda NSX (I think it even has two small boots - the F400 did anyway), and then he said it drove like one. Great! I'd quite like one of these. It's left-field, but still good.

  • TVR/NOBLE

  • Nsx? Hell ill take one

  • like an NSX huh? thats one hell of a compliment

  • @purvertedmunk i hope you aren't being sarcastic

  • @purvertedmunk NSX Type-R mind you :)

  • sweet ride

  • I thought this was a Noble for a little.

  • Wish Lotus is like that.

  • a non turbo supra would smoke this

  • @alfonzie a non-turbo Supra can't go 0-60 in 4 seconds, let alone under 6.

  • @alfonzie Your comment is subjective. Line up your stock, non turbo supra then see what happens.

  • @alfonzie Don't be stupid. A Supra weighs about 1600kg.

  • @alfonzie a non turbo supra does'nt do 0-60 in low 4s and a supra weighs alot more so i don't think so.

  • If only all V6s sounded like that.

  • Nothing special about that V6 sound... Classic V6 sound, pretty much...

  • It's cool but the same kind of money can buy you something way better

  • I love the British... In every second barn there's another mad, idealistic sports car maker trying to compete with Ferrari and Porsche.

Got to love them for that.

  • It seems like a great track car, but I don't understand how you can use it "every day". When you are driving to work, in traffic on a cold, dark November morning while still half asleep, the last thing you want is a car which is "raw".

  • this is very nice and seems to handle extremely well with very excellent numbers. i absolutely agree that it's a bargain when u begin to think of the price of others cars at similar performance level. a VERY GOOD BARGAIN. honestly i would like a power steering system to be completely sold. that heavy steering can get VERY annoying.

  • i like the idea. ROW, no electrics, thats cool car

  • Unfortunately, it has that sort of "anonymous British sportscar" look to it.

The Farbio/Ginetta has that "I'm made in middle England of synthetic material, blandness that the Noble, the Evora and even the MP4-12C has.

All of these cars are dynamically BRILLIANT, but the feeling that they give you when inside one, is that of a wonderfully sorted kit-car.

I personally hate Ferrari (Enzo was such a BITCH), but when you buy Italian, you can feel the "specialness" oozing out of it's every pore.

  • @Poler777 Agreed. Not to mention that, although "less is more" in some cases, £68k is a lot for some carbon fibre glued to a tuned Ford engine.

  • @Poler777 I agree that the G60 looks like a kit car in that its form doesn't have the svelte lines and cohesiveness of a shape made by a professional designer Like Jason Castriota, but rather looks like a mixture of good pieces smashed together in CAD. I have to disagree about the McLaren. The McLaren may not have the beauty of a Ferrari, but its design is on a different planet in terms of cohesiveness and refinement than the Ginetta. And the level of detail on the McLaren is ridiculous.

  • @Poler777 Ferrari by company or person? I agree that Enzo wasn't a nice guy though.

  • @Poler777 that's what Lamborginis are for ;)

  • @Poler777

Sure. My friend had a Lancia Delta Integrale. He loved it too, despite the fact that it kept breaking down all the time and the electronics were among the worst he ever came across. So if you're prepared for a bit of "specialness" for the price of a lot of headaches, then go ahead.

  • @McLarenMercedes Well, you're talking about a Delta...not a car which is renowned for its eletronics indeed! Many other "special" italians keep on walking as if years didn't go by for them..

  • @Poler777 MP4-12C and Evora are no wonderfully sorted kit-car ...

  • @Poler777 Buy many Italian supercars, do you ?

  • @Poler777 I agree however many people sort of make the mistake of looking at this car backwards.

The Farboud GTS of 2004 was first, then Noble, Lotus and Mclaren copied the styling.

Unfortunately Farboud never got enough interest back then and ended up selling the design. So now 8 years on, the 'original car' comes out as a substantially reworked Ginetta, and people think... "Oh that looks like an Evora / MP4.. etc". It's a shame really because the twin turbo GTS was cool back in 2003/4.

  • he might be better than clarkson on reviews

  • @default919 WTF is wrong with u? Jeremy makes u laugh... probably coz ur germans nd he insults u with his hilarious german accent

  • @olliekill actually im black from america....and clarkson made me start watching car reviews..but im saying this guy might be better because he isnt so bias he just tells you about the car and not what he thinks about it...he does give his own opinion but.. whatever you know what im saying

  • is it available with LHD?

  • 1:22....Bad editing!!

  • Comment removed

  • evora wannabe

  • yuck.

  • looks like a fab car but that's a lot of dosh for a "small" car... needs a supercharger sticking to it then I could think about getting one

  • So if its pretty much a 2011+ v6 mustang engine Im guessing you can also supercharge it just like the mustang engine? Now that would be a scary ride to be in lol

  • Simplistic beauty

  • "they call it the great british alternative to the Porsche 911"

    AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHHAA

  • @cortegosopablo yeah, I laughed too when he said that.. I would take a 2 year old 991 any day over this :-)

  • @MagicAyrtonforever Until you've driven a G60 what do you know? People talked sh't about the NSX until they drove it.

  • @DocWolph Well I don't like Kit cars anymore.. comfort is nice :-)

  • @MagicAyrtonforever Is it a kit car or are you just making more noise to back a flagging argument? A truly rare car is not instantly a Kit car. If so you could make the same argument about Panoz or Morgan, Koenigsegg or Mosler. Why don't you explain what a kit car is specifically, since you seem to know the difference between a truly rare car, and exotic car, and kit car, before saying what you believe the G60 is.

  • @DocWolph To be perfectly honest with you I couldn't care less. Now go argue with someone who does. Good day!!

  • @MagicAyrtonforever You say that. Just don't cry crocodile tears and claim it doesn't matter. Have some gonads and at least admit you were talking some baseless sh't.

  • @cortegosopablo Then why don't they just recommend a used 911??I don't get the point of him saying that either....

  • @CAJFB Me neither.

  • This car definitely looks nice however, I reckon that the next generation Lotus Exige is going to be just as nice if not nicer and faster than this.

  • @ShermanMR2 yeah i hear what your saying, also if when alfa brings out the 4c that should be good aswell it will be a show down of the small sports cars, Lotus Exige vs Ginetta G60 vs Alfa romeo 4c. now thats something i cant wait to see :)

  • This is NOT a car for every driver !

  • Never heard of Farboud GTS until I played Test Drive Unlimited

  • this car is nice

  • just looks soooo planted

  • my opinion is to ditch the ford v6 and put in a old normal n/a 4 lt V8 from bmw, but that's just me I guess...

...and why not the M3 V8? I guess to keep the price down...

  • @luedriver That engine sounds way better than any current M engine.

  • @MercSLRFan true, even I was impressed but I really like the way bmw v8's sound, ever heard a in a Ascari? heck even an old 530i with a 3lt v8 sound great without the mufflers...

  • @luedriver The E39 engine in the Ascari has little in common with the original unit. Just like this V6 has no similarities with the V6 on a Mondeo.

  • @MercSLRFan I only mentioned the Ascari because an engine sounds louder if its in the middle...

  • Another piece of crap put together by some guy in a shed somewhere. Let's see how many of these are still in one piece and running in 5 years time.

  • @ABSjazz Considering Ginetta has been around longer than you have, I'd reserve that judgement if I were you.

  • guess who's 3.7L v6 that's from?

    2011 ford mustang.

  • like an NSX R ??? interesting compare. Now I will look for the NSX type R test in the previous autocar tests

  • @FreestylerAlbert not sure if they did one. The original NSX-R is over 20 years old.

  • @jonathan102 they didn't test it. And I know it's over 20 years, and still one of the best cars today! :)

  • looks like a lotus

  • No power steering? Whatever about rest, people might like it bare-bones, but why not have power steering?

  • Like it allot, would be loads of fun on the track to

  • Love the clutch smoak seaping out all the time WTF?

  • @MotorsportMonkey it's called wheelspin in the wet dumbfuck.

  • Way to expensive!!

  • It sounds like a great down to Earth ride, but it still looks so generic for a sportscar. Aesthetics don't set it apart, very well.

  • I knew the owner for a while, and got a tour around the factory an everything

  • looks good :D kinda looks like mclaren + lotus ? :P

  • NSX type r NOT

  • Was it designed by a crew of computer games enthusiasts?

  • The car looks as if it was glued together and ready to fall apart at any moment

  • What's with the sad headlights?

  • Looks like a mini Noble M600.

  • @limericklad2000 WORRDDDD

  • @limericklad2000 looks like the M600 and the MP4-12C had a child... and then they gave him steroids... at the age of 3... under SAS-grade military training

  • @limericklad2000 not really

  • @limericklad2000 even more like a tesla

  • Would look good in black

  • its looks good

  • thats a beauty

  • second

  • Ugly
