Great video, camera angles and all. I am learning to use the old Consew 225 walking foot that I got to hobby with because I like to try every thing. I have much appreciation for a craftsman who will take the time to share his knowledge. It seems to me that those that do are truly the best in the business because the demand for their talents is not threatened by the abilities of others whom they help along the way. Thank you.
Hello I just want to tell you thank you for teaching people that are willing to learn. I don't know if for myself if I would every attemp to try this but it was nice to see a person that the time to show people that are tring to learn how a master does it. YOUR A GOOD MAN!!! May this come back to you in 10 folds aleast if not more. The world needs more people like you. GOD bless
Craig, thanks for this video! There was so much information conveyed that I had to watch it 4 or 5 times to get all the details. Very elegant presentation, though; don't change a thing!
I want to learn how to upholster and your video was very educational! Thank you so much. I was curious if there is a sewing machine you would recommend me buy as a beginner into this trade. Respectfully -Juan
It's such a shame that the upholstery trade is in decline. The trend for cheap , throw away tat from China is killing the guys who produce a quality product. I hope things change & people return to quality rather than cheap, nasty rubbish that's being imported.
Craig, my wife and I want to learn how to upholster. We have purchased a machine, built a nice big table and are committed to learning the trade with the utmost commitment to quality and service. You have a natural gift to teach with such a peaceful spirit. I know with out any doubt that if you had some step by step videos out I would not only purchase them but would be able to learn this craft and be able to deliver quality product. Thanks, Craig.
@craig sizemore 1 Thank you so much for the nice comment. I do have a 2 hour DVD on recovering a wing chair. You can get it at spiritedladyboutque, com in the upholstery support. I do wish I had more time to do videos, I like helping people
WOW! thanks so much. IMMENSELY helpful. I have a question? Can you help me out? PM would prob be best. Need help with like the bolsters of an auto seat. Like on a sport or bucket seat. How do you cut and stitch the curve? I mean I assume just cut and stitch the pattern of the curve? but it seems like it wouldn't be taught. Help please.
I enjoyed this video, thanks very much. I don't actually know how to work a sewing machine but I'm about to find out. I am trying to trim some dashboard panels with alcantara/suede and it looks like I'm going to have to do some sewing to get it done.
AWESOME video! Me and my husband bought a wing chair for only $10 and its great. I am re-decorating and want to keep the chair but want it to match now... Very great instructional on the basic stitching!
Thanks from Spain Craig, Its hard to find people who can explain as well as you do, even in a land full of good craftsmen like spain. I am starting my small upholstery business and your videos are of great help, thanks for sharing your life-learnt wisdom. If you ever come round to the Canary Islands you have got a meal on me!
Very informative. I would love to see some of these implamented in an aoutomotive aplication. I've been looking for imformation on it for a wile now. Excellent vid.
Thank you so much, this is perhaps the best educational video i have seen. Can you tell me what sort of machine you are using and what sort of material you are practising on so i can have a go at it myself? Thanks again!
Craig, thank you for taking the time to create and share this and your other videos. You are so clear and easy to understand. Very few people are able to speak so clear with out extra "ums" etc. Your videos and expertise are exceptional!
Thanks Craig. Just great! The zipper boxing was helpful to me. I have just finished building a Morris chair and would like to make the leather cushions it calls for. The plan calls for a center welt back cushion with zipper on the bottom end, and the seat cushion is box welting with waterfall front and zipper at back.
Thank you so much. I just sent you a question about adding springs and how to 8-way hand tie. I really hope you consider it! Your style and procedure is easy to follow. You make it so easy that I really want to try.

@craigsizemore1 Couldn't agree more, this is a great video! Saved me a lot of effort, exactly the information I needed in a short concise format!
I have a 97 BMW with buffalo leather seats, the bolster has a hole in it. I am going to attempt to cut new material and sew it up.
Thanks!
