Nice spiritual lessions but I disagree with you about an atheist living a hopeless existence. In fact many atheists find spiritual joy-as did the Communists of the former Soviet Union- in an earthly existence. They fought to build-what they thought was-a just and equal nation freed from Czarist oppression in Russia. So to approach an atheist with the Gospel by saying, "you live a hopeless life" is only to invite scorn from an atheist.
Interesting point. Thanks for sharing that. I guess I could have specified that an atheist's hope is merely temporal, which, from a biblical perspective is no hope at all.
As to inviting the scorn of atheists: the cross of Christ is foolishness to those who are perishing. Scorn is what Christian's should expect from those who hate God. The "spiritual joy" of atheistic communism has led to the slaughter of millions of Christians worldwide.
Oh, I agree with you. An atheistic's hope and happiness may be temporal but there's a sense of nothing beyond an earthly existence. For example, several months ago I came across a youtube video of a reporter interviewing an aged Fidel Castro ( before his recent health problems).
The reporter asked Castro was he still an atheist and Castro said of course he was-but I got the sense that Castro wasn't proud of being an atheist and his body language indicated a man uncertain of his future and a man who knows his days on earth are coming to an end. He seemed-in contrast to his energy filled youthful revolutionary days talking about American imperialism-an old broke man with nothing to offer.
This video is trash. This guy has no right to judge the missing players. He has no knowledge of the situation other what he has read in the media. The men are still missing at this point and this so called Preacher is smearing the missing men names . You don't know the men or their religious faith. Stay off the Internet and preach to your 10 member congregation!!
Did you even watch the first video? I made it VERY clear that I am not passing judgment upon the three men who perished. I made it VERY clear that I made no judgments regarding the men's faith or eternal destiny.
Now, you either didn't see the first video, or, for other reasons you are just choosing to ignore what I said.
Do you simply not understand, or could it be that your conscience has been pricked by the videos' content?
