That is a drum fill.

Basically you can hit anything you want during it. It is also intended as your way to activate star power. Which you need to hit a couple drums, then hit the green drum at the end.

Yeah, this is my second time FC'ing it. The first time was a few runs after my first video of this song. I have a couple other songs FC'd as well :)

No particular part ever gave me a hard time, I'd just usually miss random spots for no real reason aside from off timing or not paying attention.

But I just kept trying and got it :)
