Another thing is the genres of music today is wrong! James Brown is funky but he was rock music, same goes for all the other groups most original break beats came from. Funk music was kinda popular in the 60's and 70's but it was used for Funk Styles not Bboying or Rocking! Research my friend and you'll see I'm correct! Don't come to an original trying to educate me like I'm a newbie! This knowledge I spit comes from my grand parents, my parents and down to me. Alright now, Peace
You obviously didn't read what I wrote with understanding! This is not up for debate, this is fact! I'm not talking about Rocking vs Bboying! All early break beats were derived from rock music. Funk music was popular in the 60's and 70's but it was used for Funk Styles not Rocking or Bboying! James Brown, Rare Earth, Fred Wesley is rock music. Funk is George Clinton, To call Soul music a genre is stupid! Soul is a feeling that is natural, its gives you rhythm, You can't sell it, manufacture it!
You obviously didn't read what I wrote with understanding! I'm talking about how early Bboy crews termed themselves rockers by what they danced to. All early breaks beat comes from rock music. James Brown, Rare Earth, Fred Wesley, Eddie Kendricks. Funk music is Bootsy Collins, George Clinton, Zapp/Gap band! Soul is a feeling that gives you rhythm, not a music genre! This is not about Rocking vs Bboying! These are facts that are not up for debate! I was there, still here since 1977!
Another think is the genres of music today is wrong! James Brown is funky but he was rock music, same goes for all the other groups most original break beats came from. Funk music was kinda popular in the 60's and 70's but it was used for Funk Styles not Bboying or Rocking! Soul music is not a genre, soul is a feeling you either have naturally, you can't manufacture it! Its were you rhythm comes from!
Actually Germ and Peppewak, Bboying is apart of Hiphop kulture, but it was not called breaking a media term given in the 80's because they didn't know or understand Bboying. It was called Rocking born outta most breaks coming from Rock music! That's why a lot of crews had rock in their names! Starchild La Rock, TBB Rocking Crew, Rock Steady Crew. I started in 77 and listened and danced to all genres of music then and now!
i disagree. "Rocking" is an own dance with own history - also known as uprock where people pretend to strike each other without contact. bboying and rocking have borrowed steps from each other. the term bboys comes from kool herc, thats how he called the boys who dance to mostly funky breaks. peace out
Odori73 I disagree. Rocking and Bboying are 2 dances with their own histories. Yet, they have borrowed from each other. I argue that both use above all FUNK/Soul breaks. The term "Bboy" was brought about by Kool Herc - that's how he called the boys who were throwing it down to the "breaks" in the music. anyways, dope power in this vid.
@davidstyle007 this video is dope powermoves ever but i really dont lke the music you should keep the tradition of breakbeats alive they are ehre for a reason to make power bboys look lke bboys and not lke gymnast dope chizz though man but really get on that music though these are soome power head legends dont ever forget about the americans were it all be gan dont for get speeedy crumbs ruen lil cease and gumby too

this is a shit...beacuse breaking belongs to the hip hop culture...not to the metal....it can be these powermovers are among the best of this universe...but they haven't understood nothing about breaking...i saw this video just for watching powermoves ...not for breaking...however..bye..peace4all
No disrespect but breaking may have formed around the hip-hop culture but confining the art to a specific genre is absurd. Everyone has different taste and as long that is the case your going to see variety. These bboys have seen more battles than you, regardless if they themselves have "understood breaking" they have been around top level bboys to "understand breaking".
but breaking was born in hip hop culture ...even these breakers have seen more battles than me, this is not a reason to tell : they can teach u a lot of things about breaking... no! i know this art more better than them ...they can know battles ,contests ecc...but breaking as hip hop culture....I don't think so..this is my opinion... ps: i know braundy a.k.a dario is sicilian like me ...for me these people are good in breakdance only...peace for all... anyway...i love their moves.
its kool my cusoin can do that stuff and he has won stuff and now he has his clan thing and they across the world.now he is teaching me.not so good as him only backflip, and more stuff i try to make video later about it
