@persausta was more than a game!! especially to Iranians, who have been branded as "scum" by so much of the world. when team melli can beat a country like australia and qualify to be one of the worlds elite nothing can bring joy to the country like this. i was lucky enough to be there during the 2006 qualifiers when Iran beat Japan. people were partying in the street all night, cant imagine what it was like after this game
