Streets in Japan are quite scary to walk through after an all nighter. Personally, being a country boy, After I got super drunk, didn't go back to the hotel till the sun started rising... I just felt REALLY trapped :P It didn't matter where you went, everywhere was closed in alleys, streets... It'll freak people out, even Canadian born city people.

What is wrong with being drunk as shit? He obviously have friends sober enough to keep him from hurting others, and to get him home safely. Alcohol is pretty fun, and not "rude" in any way. If someone gets offended just because someone else is drunk, I think it's their problem. Why would you care unless he's in your face?
