Been a fan of Primal Fear for many years. When I first heard their music I said, yes, heavily JP influenced. Well the band makes no bones about it, they said in a liner note that JP is their most influenced band. Now, they took the JP to another level. I too love both PF and JP...great stuff and keeps with the 'real' metal sound.

The comparisons to Judas Priest are inevitable for Primal Fear... but holy shit what a band to be compared to! Judas Priest are the Metal Gods and like someone else said, Primal Fear are just the Judas Priest of this generation. I've seen both Priest and Halford solo, they live up to their title to this day, but Primal Fear are one massively impressive band in their own right. If only there were more bands this good.

My favorite Primal Fear CDs are Jaws of Death and Nuclear Fire. I think EVERY track is good on both CDs. When people say PF is Judas Priest-sounding I say "That's a GOOD thing!" I've seen both live and both are great bands.
