  • You Never seen Toph making that noise

  • ONE OF THE MOST EPIC MOVIES EVER!!!!

  • Sounds like a group of old constipated people trying to have an orgy.

Hey! *breathe* Hey! Hey! *sigh* *breathe* HNNNNNNGGGGGGGG!!!!!! *pant* HEE! WAH! Hey! *wheeze* *gasp* ZWOOOOOOOOooooooo... NNNNGGG!!! Heeeeey! HEE! *wheeze* HOO! A HA HA HA ha ha ha ha ha HEE! ZWOOOOOoooooo... NNNGGGG! Hey! *breathe* Hey! Ho! Hng! Hey! Ho! Hey! Ho! Hey! Hng! Ho! Hey! Ho! Hooooo!!! Wah! Wah! Wah! Wah! Wah! Wah! WOW!!!

Naw, I'm just playin', it sounds like perfectly normal Kung Fu.

  • the yee jih kim yeung ma came from tit kiu sam, who created the tit sin kuen form, from the original shaolin dragon system. so the reason hung gar and wing chun have the same stance is a common ancestor the priestess ng mui (who was a dragon stylist)

  • ving stun and hung ga are very simaler

1 they both belive in a correct powerfull stance and many students learn this before moving on

2 even when practising evey day a student should spend at least a year on each form before moveing on

3 they were both created in the qing dynasty and are southern style's

    4 learn weapon forms last

  • at 0:52, i thought thats a wing chun stance.

  • @MrAbeD09 That stance is called "Yi Ji Kim Yeung Ma" (Cantonese) or "Er Zi Qian Yang Ma" (Mandardin). While it is extensively used in Wing Chun, it is also present in all Southern Chinese martial arts. Actually, all stances (cat, horse, bow, reverse bow, twisting, etc.) should contain the basic structure of this stance.

  • i just admire this man....truly one of a kind.

  • Sounds like me on prom night.

  • wow... chi kuan chun is really amazing ..indeed! the video proves it :-D

    love ya ckc.

  • The sounds are not for combat but Hei Gung training to vibrate the organs, the Chinese discovered that sound is the only way to exercise the internal organs, the sound MMM is for Dit Guat gung (iron bone training) and if done properly shuts the whole rib cage down

  • Haha the style and sounds are what makes it such a good martial art. Your opponent will either be terrified or not take you seriously, in either situation you now have the advantage.

  • Awesome exhibition of five elements. One of the fewest actor artists who seems to exhibit training and precision in performance of Hung Gar styles.

  • looks fkn stupid to me

  • awesome, and sad movie :(

  • lol im sorry but i cannot take those screeches seriously

  • @kapoof2

lol, i know what you mean, i do kung fu but if i knew this form I wouldn't perform it in front of others :P.

  • This dude is killin' it.

  • This gave me chills.

His breathing oh such a level beyond..

    Loved it.

Would like to see his rendition of Tiger and Crane.

  • u r soo damn lazy that u want to be just like bruce lee but u only imitate his shouts instead his trainning method....

I know this guys is not the only fighter screaming like bruce lee, I know many fucks do it

  • @tranglomango u do understand that in hung ga there are tones coinciding with the 5 elements right? each element is assigned to a specific organ and animal. what bruce did was unnecessary screaming for visual purposes.look up iron wire and you will see what i mean. This version was propogated by wong fei hung and certain tones are said to resonate certain organs.hung ga existed before bruce and tit kiu sam was famous before bruce

  • @cfG21 is correct. In Hung Gar, certain animals and movements are represented by distinct sounds. You'll notice the sound "WA" when he performs tiger claw, or the high pitched "CHI" during important movements where the performer exhales.

  • @tranglomango like quyen and i say . hung ga existed before bruce so it's bruce who's copying them.

  • @ubiho dude before hung gar existes jun fan or kung fu now shut up with that time crap of yours....what have hung gar to do with a shouting style??? Piss of, this guy is an actor just as bruce, this guys wasn't a fighter as Bruce was...Bye have fun with ur Hung Ga....besides many of the hung ga u see here is mere wushu and not real kung fu...

  • @tranglomango it's sad watching u "sages" talk crap when u know nothing...I know nothing too but maybe just maybe as kung fu practicioner I know something u kung fu movie nerds don't know....

  • @ubiho Bruce's shout wasn't for the movies, before he was a movie star he was and is a martial artist, someone who trains to kill in order to avoid being killed and that's something this guy haven't done...Bruce Lee way of shouting is from the crane kung fu style, not just the Crane but a secret style called Ancestral Crane

  • @ubiho hung gar, wing chun or whatever are just styles, they are basics, just the shell while kung fu essence it's the nut, and while u follow styles u are restricted and not totaly free, one must study kung fu HARDER just as Bruce Lee did to surpass the need of Styles to babysit his trainning, something this actor hasn't achieved, a formless and personified fighting way

  • @ubiho he still needs FORMS just as many of u do...he can't think for himself, he needs forms to know what to do while fighting and that's miserable...pitifull souls of the "styles" concept...just don't fuck ur heads more than they are with this, I say he used it to gain atention even if he did it because of some form he's doing, he is not expressin himself as a real fighter....Bruce Lee had Kung Fu deep-seated in his heart and u know Him for that....

  • @tranglomango forms arent for fighting, they are for exercise, to form muscle memory, not to fight, that is why u do not understand, i guaruntee he is a great fighter, and not because of his forms, but because of his dedication

  • @kapoof2 true, but forms are designed as fights against imaginary opponents. Forms are learned like five steps at a time because the focus is on learning how each move works so that in a fight you can use several elements of your forms

  • @antebellumraus3 i understand, the point i was trying to make is that u wouldnt use the exact form in a bar brawl, u would mix and match the movements in the best way u know how, u wouldnt do the exact form, thats what i was trying to say

  • @ubiho what ever...I'm talkin about kung fu itself just as your boyfriend quyen not about bruce leaVE THE MAN ALON HE DIED ALREADY DUDE, I just don't care

  • @tranglomango oh please if you compare bruce to the likes of hung hei gwoon, luk ah choi, or wong fei hung then you know nothing.praying mantis is made up of 18 different styles and you thnk bruce was the first to come along with the concept?news flash hot shot bruce wasn't the best. he was at the right place at the right time.

  • and they keep imitating bruce lee....what a shame!

  • Omg, this form looks so tiring... Tiger Crane is already enough for me lol But this form is excellent for training endurance, strength and power =)

  • what shaw brothers movie is this from?

  • this is the best hung gar video

  • When you are proficient in the external arts, in order to take your art to the next level you have to focus on the internal. People always dismiss what they do not understand. Not good to do, epecially in martial arts.

  • Lam Jo, the living legend of Hung Gar, and #1 student of Lam Sai Wing who was the #1 student of Wong Fei Hung himself, credits his awesome strength and Vitality to Tid Sin Kuen which was taught to Wong Fei Hung by the #1 student of Tid Kiu Sam who was the number one of the ten tigers. This form is merely meant to be a bridge between the Hung Gar forms and Tid Sin Kuen form which was originally choreographed by Wong Fei Hung as the 5 Animal form and later the 5 elements added by Lam Sai Wing

  • 1) the begining of the this set (like the first 2 min) is internal dragon. I guess I can understand how someone, who did not know practice Hung Gar would think it was Iron Wire , because the internal dragon portion of the set is somewhat similar. 2) As part of the dragon portion ( as with other areas in the set) the sounds trigger development in the internal organs (liver, kidneys, etc).

  • this guy is friggin ripped

  • what the fuck funny songs?

  • I bet this guy would kick so much ass

  • Awesome!

  • Yah it does sound pretty funny...lol ;)

Just a bit more info--the qigong parts (different sounds) being made are based on the theory that different frequencies "massage" different organs.

It's a beastly set--I don't know if I could play it at a competition though:)

  • I don't think that's a voice actor--if it's the set I think it is the sounds are part of it. This set is part of a bridge between the external/internal training of the Hung Kuen.

  • in this form you have to do the sound's for energize your body and gain more qi.

  • He use iron wire

  • dragon, tiger, jaguar, crane , snake

  • actually, there is no jaguar, it's leopard...

  • How noisy

    Is this Wing Chun?

He uses the wing chun form

  • It's Hung Gar. Both styles share some stances and techniques. Both styles come from around the same place and time, so it is believed their creators exchanged some tips.

  • Wing Chun isn't the only one with the pigeon toe stance. <3

But it's understandable. Wing Chun is sexy as well. :D

  • Nice, I didn't know that.

The style I practice uses a very similar form, we call Ma-Bu, based on a horse.

The style is Yau-Man, today we only have here in Brazil, and few masters, we don't trein for competitions.

  • ...the title of the video says hung gar so I have to believe that this is hung gar...

  • Yes, the style shown in the video is Hung Gar, I was talking about another one.

  • This is Hung Gar.

  • Its not really the "goat holder" but a variant of Ma Bo i personally know as "Tjorh" Ma (not speaking cantonese so i have no idea what it means) from the Tran Family Art, its a pretty useful stance for development of the legs on one hand, plus the transition from ordinary Ma Bo to Tjorh Ma adds rooting power to a strike. Works on the same principle as the Wing Chun stance, since most Southern styles share the same roots and can be considered cousins.

  • Those are not just any noises, there is an ancient Taoist techinique that uses noises to massage internal organs, hung gar also has an internal practice technigue "The Iron Thread" that uses noises but it is possible thru the ages that those noises may have been altered and lost their meaning, but if you want to look for the Taoist ones just search for master Mantak Chia and you will found lots of stuff and ancient knowledge on his books

  • The close ups show the distinct five animal hand formations.

  • This is almost exactly the 5th form from the Hung Gar school I used to go when I was young. My grandmaster is Ho Lap Tin.

  • This is the iron wire form, also known as iron thread- not the five elements.

  • Why do they always have to scream like a chiken?

  • Comment removed

  • Its the sap ying kuen from the Hung Gar Style. Its performed bei Chi Kuan Chun, whos MAster was Chiu Wai....

  • oh right lol

i didn't know. but only the beginning looks like wing chun lol

    the rest looks different

  • looks like wing chun, bil jee to me

    the stance and form

  • lmao someone please educate me why the hell is he making those wierd noises???

  • To isolate certain organs and shake/massage them for health/strength...

The last two Hung pillar sets do this.

  • Dear Obitobi10, for your ignorance, in this form the sounds are corresponding to internal organs, each sound has an specific effect on the Five Zang & Six Fu Organs. To make it easier for you to understand, please think like those sounds are part of the Chi Kung training in the Hun Gar System.

  • Lmao.

  • MDR!!!comment j'kiffe trop la voix du mec!

  • I respect all martial arts and martial artists but the scene at 1:17 just made me laugh real hard.

    Thanks for posting the vid.

  • yea exact same here. I was thinking "What, is he about to say he's a pretty girl?"

  • dude i so agree their is no way but that is some serious stuff

  • on mute,

    this video rocks.

    on mid volume,

i can't even take it seriously

    hahahhaa

those are the funniest sounds of concentration i've ever heard.

  • haha nice sounds

  • Like most KF this form has internal and external bits. Each of the sounds that he makes is intended to massage a different organ via the vibrations..it's pretty cool to hear about. (I have a Taiji and Northern background but my cuz is working on 5Ani/5Elements)

  • you are correct about the internal and external bits...KF requires internal and external force, the sounds allows the fighter to breathe while strengthening his attack. i have practiced hung gar my whole life and it is the BEST!!!

  • Don't get me wrong, the martial arts fascinate and astound me to no end, but I must admit...

I laughed VERY hard at 1:17. Sounded almost like a bottle rocket.

  • Chi Kwan Chun is a student of Master Chiu Wai, son of Chiu Kau, disciple of Lam Sai Wing.

  • Is the movie called hung gar 5 animals 5 elements?

  • Check the description. It is from Boxer's Rebellion.

  • The set is called 5 Animal 5 Elements because of the five animal forms (tiger, crane, snake, leopard, and the dragon)and five element forms(water, earth, wood, metal, and fire)contained within it. Hung Gar is the style.

  • isnt monkey one of the animal forms

and where is wind in the elements

hung gar is a pretty awesome style

  • Monkey (aka Ta Sheng Pek Kwar) is an animal form but it is associated more with Northern Shao Lin vs Southern Hung Gar. Wind is not a traditional Chinese element.

  • k thanks for the info

    been wondering for a while

  • no boxers rebellion

  • sweet! lar gar is not to be played with, beautiful, every version of it.

  • I think the five elements are omitted for the film..also, the opening section is only done on one side, also for the film...still absolutely bad ass that they put a traditional form in a movie and left the vocalizations the way they are supposed to be

  • Thanx, but I don't want to learn Filmchoreography Kungfu fighting. I like HG without all the show.

  • Obviously you are an ignorant fool who knows little. watch lau family hung gar on you tube and see its the real thing, lau kar leung is a legand, his films were the real thing, not the sky ballet you get today

  • Who is ignorant here? Lau Gar Leung mostly taught his style to moviestars. Can you name any non-moviestar out there that he taught his HG to, and is currently teaching HG?

  • ummm wayne husbands who is the Uk rep for lau family hung gar will be teaching me plum blossom fist at the end of the month. Franky bolte (or frankylau) has disciples in the Philippines. both these ppl were taught either directly by LKL or Mark Ho a disciple of LKL and master of lau family huung gar

  • That's an honest answer. Cheers to you mate. Lau Family HG rocks!.......as does HG in general.

  • I am honoured to have helped, and apologize for my earlier rude comment, a man who can accept anothers point of view is never a fool

  • You mean he learned filmchoreography Kungfu fighting?

  • disgraceful

  • his hung gar is probably better than yours. Hips are right, shoulders are relaxed and they don't bounce like americans do.

  • k, i wasn't saying that his form was bad. Now that i take a second look it isn't. However, it is forms like these that give kung fu a bad rap. the oooooooooooooo and the grunts are just show crap. True i use calls in my own forms and they don't sound like a dieing elephant. I just think the calls ruin it.

  • If you do research hung ga's highest and most powerful form, albeit funny, is an amalgamation of qi gong and knowledge of the body. Each tone is designed to resonate an internal organ, assigned with an element. Wong Fei Hung who learned this form from Tit Kiu Sarm is a very well documented in the PRC and true doctor. Do research next time.

  • suddenly i felt like going to the bathroom.....hmmmmmmmph haaaaaa hiiiiooooooo haaaaahhh hai ho.....hwaaa oops..

  • yeah, but why is he making funny sounds, whats that purpose of that?

  • It's part of the breathing aspect for this form. The different noises correspond to different emotions like sadness (the sigh) and happiness (the laughter) The "wah" noises are how you breath for Tiger, and the "uup" noises are for crane.

  • oh... thanks kechuang =)

  • no problem. They really sound weird at first, but apparantly these specific breathing methods are very hard on the body, and if done wrong can hurt you internally. I say apparantly because I've only been training for about 5 years in this particular style.

  • whao, have y0ur chi really increased? must put devasting effect on the opponent if used? 0_o

  • Yeah, after 5 years in Hung Gar, my power is definitely exponentially higher, however my training is probably not as diligent as it should be right now because in a few months I'm travelling to Vancouver, Canada to train in a new style.

  • perhaps i should do tai chi or something like that. It'll be good for my health, although I don't know which style to do, yang, chen or sun? i heard chen is good for self defense.

  • Tai Chi is good stuff. If I took it though it would only be for my health, because I personally prefer a harder style.

  • i like my soft style, i'm a peaceful gu =) also, i'm not sure if i can handle excessive chi. lol. but i heard breathing meditation helps to regulate the chi properly. this is where you need to find a good master, because wrong meditation can lead to psychological problems, especially entering different plane of realms.

  • Hey, just because I enjoy hard styles doesn't mean I'm aggressive. I just personally like them better. Hung Gar is technically equal parts hard and soft because of the Tiger/Crane aspect. As for your second comment, I think if meditating wrong gives you psychological problems, there might be an underlying problem in the first place, lol

  • of course brother =) as for the psychological problem, it happens if you don't have a proper teacher. So, meditation is one of those thing that you need a good teacher. I'm hungry, I gotta get something to eat... noodles...

  • would love to see iron wire for the comedic sounds. good form man.

  • Which old school movie is this from?

  • it says in the info ><

    the boxer's rebellion

  • Thanx. I noticed this is Chi Kuan Chun a student of Chiu Wai.

  • Hung Gar Shaolin. A south Shaolin style. I´m sure about that. That´s litle variations in the present form.

We can notice the increase of "internal force" and the concentraton of chi in the breath.

  • Awesome,Thank you.
