I think if humans last several hundred more years, Zimmer and Howard will be spoken in the same sentence as the classical music composers; along with Williams, Courage, and alot of the other current soundtrack composers.
2:09 is the music where Bruce Wayne is training with the league of shadows....Bruce Wayne looks totally bad ass when he's keeping his balance on the small wooden squares!!.....EPIC.
I am a hugh Batman fan and when this movie came out i cringed. I remembered the 80's ones which were a crime and should be deleted from existance. It wasnt advertised well so i saw it when the movie i went to see was sold out. What a truely AWESOME movie. This is the Batman i read about, this is the real true Batman!! Bob Kane would be proud. i rate it 6 out of 5 stars!!!!
if you want proof that it was James Newton Howard that composed the theme for Batman, then listen to London, from his Blood Diamond soundtrack. It is basically a choral, african version of this.
@CorrinMovies I hoped you've watched Batman Begins since the three weeks you've posted. It's hardly scary, but IMO the best Batman movie ever even with TDK out.
hands anyone who liked zimmer's brilliance in embedding "Non regrette... ( sorry.. my french and my memory are so so bad...)" song in inception music theme!!!
From 2:08 and up I really like because it sounds like a struggle that's someone's going through, but at the same time they are getting stronger and in the end they are victorious.
when i first got batman begins i started watching it i couldnt stop watching it i saw it every day sometimes every two days i just love the music the sights the actors the way they act this was an amazing film christopher nolan did good
@avengerman123It's such an amazing movie. I actually prefer it to the Dark Knight. I remember i used to hate the Batman movie's though I don't know why. But the important thing is that i am obsessed with it now lol. Christopher Nolan is a GOD.
2:07 just imagine yourself on that ice covered mountain looking up and out at the surrounding mountains with cloudy sky and looking below at the barley visible valleys. You feel as if you are on top of the world. It is like a dream . . . a dream I never want to be woken from.
I agree Balboa, I still here some pop, rock, hip hop music, but my fav kind of music is masterpiece like this soundtrack. This music is much deeper n touches u way more than popmusic.

Batman doesn't fully become the Dark Knight until the death of the socond Robin: Jason Todd which really changed him. If the director Christoper Nolan was smart he would put Jason Todd in the next Batman film!
absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this music and movie...they are PERFECT...too bad the storyline isn't applied to real life...we could use some dramatic crime control, sometimes...especially a giant bat=)
It's funny, I've watched BB so many times that just listening to this song, I can tell you the scenes that go along with it. 3:00 - 3:50 is when Duncard and Bruce are training on the ice, I love that part!
Truly magnificent piece of music. A masterpiece. My thoughts go to the Hebrew Bible, the Greeks, the Greek tragedies, the Romans and their empire and their colossal structures, to Zen Buddhism, to individualism and the concept of übermenschen or superhumans by Friedrich Nietzsche.
