Does he mean that it's not about AIDS in the same way that it's not about disease, either, or in the same way that it's not about, say, tomatoes? The list of symptoms in the second verse sounds very much like those of AIDS.

IoEstasCedonta - I guess that he means that it is not important that he sings about a disease. Neither is it important what disease he is singing about. The disease is just a metaphor about how much a person is willing to indulge in another human being. But i'm not Ola Salo so I don't know what's going on in his mind.... sorry...
