  • @kansaiPJ 40yo English vampires?!?

  • @SupaSaiynStevieH can you muslim go somewhere else...try to go somewhere else practicing your religion and leave us alone?

  • Why are some not wearing school uniforms? :)

  • @Mycenaea There was official no uniform at this school. Students in the video wearing them are doing so as fashion statements.

  • Ah you speak japanees i want that tooooo

  • haha! oh god they are funny! maybe in the future i would visit japan and make friends :) got any tips for me?

  • @ulquiorra379 Just do it. Visiting different countries is the best eye-opener there is. Good luck!

  • @kansaiPJ thanks :)

  • LOL.

i thoguht i sort of kind of almost nearly remembered this theme song.

    Lol !!

    21JumpStreetX_x.

    Goodtimes.

  • OMG I wanna go to a tokyo high school!!!

    ur lucky x(

  • @CheetosWiitard i know right??! my parents said i could become an exchange student, after i pay for the trip, find a place to stay, and buy a fking passport... damn it

  • Did you study Japanese to be able to do this, or what?

It sounds like a LOT of fun to teach in a foreign country, and it sounds fun to make a career out of it!

  • that girl at 3:24 is quite good at english ^^

  • @Cookai16 It's like watching a porn movie where a pedophile westener is trying to have sex with these underage asian girls. LOL

  • I clicked back to this video after I saw cute jap guys at 4:29 ^^ KYAHH!!! hehe :)

  • Researching and drinking....Those things go hand in hand don't they?! Hahaha...I really want to go to Japan..Though I want even more to be able to go there for at least a little bit of high school but it costs too much money :(

  • what does owaki mean ??? or something like that, u said it towards the end before u said "oh there we go hahaha"

  • @animalrights800 uwaki = cheating

  • There should be more teachers like you! :c

Teachers that can take jokes and joke with students are the best!

  • @BakaCherii Thanks!

  • @kansaiPJ Cooool! ^_^ im going to japan & speak english.

  • You sound like Jon Benjamin lol. 可笑しい。

  • I don't know how I happened on this video, but I'm glad to have found it. One of my pet peeves is our terrible US educational system. Now I know where at least some of the good teachers go. If there were more teachers like you, American kids would actually learn something. I home schooled my sons & they got their high school diploma at 16 & 17. The kids here seem very respectful, but very comfortable with you. Is that partly Japanese culture? Teens are so bad here, very angry. Thomas

  • Wat happend to ur head

  • 4:30 thats the only one i dont get?

  • 5:14 the boy is kind of HOT !!

  • 4:49

teacher: so whitey, what are you gonna do for golden week?

    student:i'm going to kill you...

lmfao, if a student said that to a teacher in the us they'd get into such deep shit!

  • @TasteForDisaster Firstly, you should understand that successful 2nd language acquisition benefits from "playful" use of the language. We encourage students to be silly with English and to create new, additional identities, with the use of a new language. Secondly, this is an alternative school with a very informal atmosphere. Thirdly, teachers who cannot take a joke should probably not be teaching. ;-)

  • @kansaiPJ i think i understand what you mean about the broadening your horizens, but it still seems to be a very odd way to do it. If teachers how cannot take a joke really shouldn't be teaching, then almost every teacher i know would no longer be in that field of work. and that's a private school? i don't get it, i went to a private school for 2 years in the past, and they were ever more formal then normal schools, uniforms with ties and all that...they even had a school dentist...

  • Comment removed

  • @kansaiPJ

i understand wat you mean. but using 'kill you' even if it's a joke is too much and can get you into deep trouble cause it's considered a threat...

  • is it just me or did that ayaka girl look hot

  • whats whacky?

  • what does uwaki mean?

  • Oh what i wish i were born in japan.

  • lol it seems like Japans out going randomness brushed off on him

  • So when you say, " Your Students " What exactly do you mean by that, Are you their " Sensai? "

  • @HunterR909 Yes, I was their teacher.

  • did the girl understand uwaki or whacky? that was kinda mean question

  • @DarthChrisB She understood... ;-)

  • Their responses remind me of the responses we gave in my Jappanese class in Kansas :D

  • i've yet to come across a jblogger that isn't weird as hell.

  • @katinkers The expat life leads to eccentricities...

  • @kansaiPJ hahahaha well said.

  • @kansaiPJ what's normal? is that a disease? EWW! i don't wana catch normal!! O:

  • @Superturismo2019 stop creepin' on asian chicks =-=; its creeeeeeeepyyyyyyyy

  • lollllll "uwaki" lollllllllllllll ur funny teacher guy!!!! im glad ur teaching eng. and not some creeper like i had at my high school -3-;!!! seriously;;;

  • Too bad :( it was just getting intressting, yet u allready busted me.

Well that sucks, perhaps you got something else we can discuss? :)

  • @Superturismo2019 I am sure there are educational or vacation-type exchanges. A few years ago, my neighbor was a girl from France in Japan on a semester-abroad program...

  • @kansaiPJ How is it in japan now?

  • @premadonna17 Fine I guess. What are you referring to?

  • @kansaiPJ The earthquake and the tsunami...??

  • @premadonna17 Oh, yeah. I am in Osaka, in the south. No damage or problems down here at all. Tohoku is still pretty wrecked and will take years to get back to normal, but where I am, it is not an issue. Such a horrible tragedy, but not something I am intimately struggling with fortunately.

  • @Superturismo2019 I am not a student. I am a teacher. I work and live in Japan. But there are exchange programs at my high schools and universities, so check them out if you are interested.

  • the boy talking at 4:45 is soo cute!

  • someone was whistling tetris theme song :D

  • how long did it take you to learn Japanese? And HOW?!?!

  • @crewifyable Still learning. Life-long process. How? Books, classes, and living in Japan.

  • Is it really hard to learn Japanese?

  • I am a ''apprentice'' cook, and I have always been interested in living in Japan. So I would like to ask how popular the western resturants in Japan are?

Although I am sure that I will be able to learn about the Japanese food culture (Have actually learned of the food culture, but that's just the culture part.. Still have no idea about the recipies.) I still need to ask that from you. ^^

I'm thinking of taking Japanese language lessons, but right now I don't have enough time sadly.. >.<

  • @geenius3ab Western food is popular. Large cities are full of international cuisine. Good luck.

  • Yay ... they made this vid on my b-day 4 yrs ago!! ^-^

  • Wow those guys are allowed to keep so long hair in school.

  • Uwaki? Haha you're horrible. J/k.

  • subtitle please !! :(

  • subtitles would be nice

  • Japan does have muslim or islamic restaurants and mosques. Do not be swayed but as for me - it does not really matter. Do an online research.

In Japan ; there are alot of mosques and small restaurants for the muslims and some sizeable muslim communities ranging from indian , bangladeshi , indonesian , malaysian , singaporean ( not much ) , brunei , saudis , egyptians and islamic nations. Its like the Chinese muslims in China - u need research

  • is there any south asians in japan?

  • @kinglynx Of course.

  • @kansaiPJ is there a large community?.. im thinking of goin to japan but im muslim....

  • @kinglynx Large community of what? Foreigners? Muslims? Foreigners - there are many. Muslims - not sure, but there is a mosque in Kobe, so there must be a few. I am sure you could do some online research and find out far more than I know. Hope that helps.

  • @kansaiPJ of south asians?... and muslims.. im jus afraid i will be eating mcdo's fish fillets for the whole trip there, i want to have a proper holiday and do japanese stuff...but i cant coz of religious restrictins

  • @kinglynx I don't know to be honest. But I am sure if you do a little internet research you will find some data on South Asians and on Muslims in Japan. I don't think it should stop you from visiting if that is what you really want to do.

  • @kansaiPJ hmmm ok thanks a lot :D

  • Comment removed

  • @kinglynx Fish is halal right? Japan is a pretty big fish eating nation. Sushi and stuff. Plus meat is expensive there so no worries.

  • @RabbidMonkee most fish, the only fish that isnt is like shark and other carnivorous ones... thanks for the info :D

  • @kinglynx

    religious? u pussy

  • @MPOEO pussy? you obviously didnt see your dad when i was fuckin him up last night

  • @MPOEO in the fact that you overreacted to a little diss which you couldnt take, and now your commenting on my videos like a whiney fag, i suggest you grow up

  • @kinglynx High five.

My parents are Turkish and their Muslim.

I actually don't do that kind of Muslim shit however im 100% Turkish.

I just pray and don't eat pork. For the rest I don't do it.

  • @chica476 Haha good one :D

  • @JL3Wind

    I was trolling.

    (Trollface)

  • @kinglynx Why do you need to be surrounded by Muslims if you're Muslim? Who cares?

  • @kinglynx than please dont go to japan stay in arabic countrys

  • how do you get a job at that school?

  • @HajimeNoJMo I applied.

[I am sure that was not the answer you are looking for, but

I am not sure what you wanted to know...]

  • @kansaiPJ sorry my question was not specific enough. obviously you don't find openings for schools like these on gaijinpot (where it's mostly full of stuff by interac), but is there a specific website or a place you have to go to to find a job at a free high school like the one you teach at?

  • @HajimeNoJMo Now I got ya. This vid was taken at a private 'free' school. They usually hire only teachers with certification or graduate degrees. Jobs like this are rarely if ever advertised on sites like gaijin pot. University and private high schools usually only employ professional teachers.

  • @kansaiPJ I am currently trying to apply for private high schools. thankfully, some of them don't require fully certified teachers, but degree and experience is good enough for them but i haven't gone that far yet. is your "free" school connected to the university you teach at? because i know of some private schools connected to university's.

  • @HajimeNoJMo No. I had this job for a long time. Well before I started working at universities. If you have any further questions, feel free to send me a private message. I'd be glad to share more details, but the comments section is way too public. ;-)

  • i assume u have japanese accent when speaking japanese , how long have u been there...

  • @DerniereFan For many years...

  • @kansaiPJ is there any good english speaking university for IT or Animation ?

  • @DerniereFan Temple University Japan has a good art program I hear, but otherwise I have no idea.

  • the girl holding the stuffed animals are adrable

  • @JohnnnnnTY You are a very sad troll.

  • what type of alternative high school is it? Like, how is it different than other schools in Japan (other than no uniform)?

  • @kawaiinekochick2 Is is a private school. Students have no uniforms; they have 15 hours of English instruction per week; there are few rules governing out-of-school behavior, so they are allowed to get part time jobs, color their hair, etc. Such schools in Japan are often called, "Free schools" because of the personal freedom students have.

  • I wanna go to Japan!I aways wanted to go there but well its a lil dificult now because i have a lil baby girl and well...i hope some day my boyfriend is gonna take us there...im still young soo why not see the other culture and meet other people?! How is it in Japan?

  • What song is at the the start ?

It sounds like something from the 80s.

  • @MotoscuterZ Song is "21 Jump Street" by Holly Robinson. Was a theme song to an 80's tv drama.

  • haha You remind me of that bald guy from princess bride XD

  • i dont wanna go china either..

  • I wanna go to that school! TT

  • "I will kill you."

    LMAO!

  • Where are the school uniforms D:

Why aren't all the girls saying desu D:

  • @Ryuk 1) It is a private alternative style high school. There is no official uniform at this school.

    2) Desu is used in polite speech. It is not used very much in casual informal Japanese... Casually, it is da (or ya) or just dropped altogether.

  • @kansaiPJ Well I learned something today! Arigato.

  • they all want to say "study" but they are too ashamed and know it will bring dishonor to their clans.

  • @vey2go What the hell are you talking about?!?

I'm not sure if ur students would want to pitch in ideas or anything, but ya that would be awasome!

  • cool...

  • wtf... I will kill you? wtf answer was that lmao ?

  • omg i wnt to move to japan. is it hard to speak japanese? i want to move down there for y last 2 years of highschool. is it hard to move down there and find a place to live is it expensive? sorry for all the ?'s

  • @sayoncefierce Sorry but I really can't give you much info. I am a professional teacher and what you really need is the point of view of past exchange students. There are many on youtube. Check 'em out.

  • @sayoncefierce I lived there, iam from the Uk, iam 19, my apartment was about 70.000 yen a month which is about 500 pound in british pound, which would be about 1000 dollars i think in America, bare in mind you could find an apartment for alot cheaper than that but thats just my example. I stayed in Ushigome Yanagicho, so it was super easy to get around as i was one stop away from Shinjuku station, moving to a school isnt that hard i hear, all you have to do is contact them and arrange it.

  • @Gnabepro how did you get around to owning the apartment?

  • @BoltOfThundor i didn't own it, i understand that can be quite difficult i rented it from my land lady, a nice Japanese women named Marika.

  • SHOUJO MANGA COUPLE. (the last couple you interviewed)

  • lol "cuz I have no money"

  • What does "uwaki?" @ #t=5m44s mean?
