@kellyclarksonismygod the note C6 is known universally in the music world as "high C" therefore the G above C6 is called high G which is a G6. There is no such thing as a "soprano" C or a "soprano" G. There is Middle C - C4, the octave above middle C- C5 and a high C- C6. Same with G. The G consecutive with Middle C- G4 ,the octave above -G5 (which is what Kelly is hitting here) and THEN high G- G6!!! Have a nice day:)
@kellyclarksonismygod Actually, my mistake. The term High C, Top C, and Soprano C are all interchangeable. Still the fact remains the same that Kelly here is just hitting a G5, not a High G.
@barngirlXx3 I'm going to type this one last time. Hopefully, you'll go away and fade into oblivion with it but who cares? I have a million other video to take care. Low C is the C3, Middle C is the C4, the term "High" in the piano starts with the A4 (not the C5 or C6) which is the baritone terminology that how those are treated. When you reach the note A5 you go on to the Soprano territory. Subsequently the A6 is part of the staccato pitch. This is the high G, and you will deal.
@barngirlXx3 Lmao, I'm going to leave this here. At the top of he comments section. So everybody can laugh at my ignorance then. Or your stupidity.... Anyway, your pathetic existance has been noticed enough. Goodbye.
Apo, you seem to be an unhappy person....can you hiot the high G?oh wait, if you could you would be somewhere other than youtube comp commenting on someone who can....yuou would be successful, uhmm so what is upp Apo?? how is it hanging?
While it's impressive that she would be able to reach the soprano range in mixed voice with so little head resonance, these notes hardly constitute anything impressive. They always sound constricted and unclean, and she has to scream them to give any semblance of depth to them. Also, she cannot hold them or add vibrato to them. They are just high screams integrated into the mechanical execution of a melody, not proper singing.
@kellyclarksonismygod Thanks for the advice, LOL! I'm not saying that Kelly isn't talented or that she sings unwell. The fact that she can belt in the soprano range with considerable ease makes her exceptional indeed. However, she cannot add any vibrato to these notes, the tone is unclean and she doesn't sound relaxed while hitting them. I'm sure that, with further study, she will be able to sing sustained passages in this range - and she will sound amazing. However, as for now, she doesn't.
@kellyclarksonismygod My knowledge of music is very limited, I agree. But I just try to give an opinion with whatever little I remember from school (which was a long time ago, and didn't provide me with much knowledge, as we can both see :-) ). I didn't mean to sound arrogant at all - thankfully, you have corrected me, so I will shut up. I just want to clarify one thing: it wasn't my intention to criticize Kelly as a singer or performer, as I find her music quite enjoyable.
@Apozimiosi Actually, she does have the ability to reach g5s (and notes higher) with ease and resonance. The fact that she did get a little strained and constricted is due to overtouring/performing during 2005-2006 (her most popular period), causing her vocals to get tired and unfocused. If you look into her music during any other time in her career span you'll find that she can hit the notes with ease, resonance, vibrato, control and no strain whatsoever. Have a nice day (:
@Snookiiiii well, you can look into her high school video collection and see her singing in one of the many musicals she's done and actually hear her sing opera and definately do exactly as you have said clearly without a hitch in her voice for long periods of time and not even bat an eye let alone croak like a frog. When she tours she has a problem with sleep deprivation along with fighting off sicknesses you can get just from being in other countries. She's not always gonna be on her A game.
@Apozimiosi umm...for the songs she chose to sing at that range, she's not ment to sing perfectly. it's called singing with attitude. She's not an opera singer nor is she classical, though she has admitted that she's been classically trained. And she is able to sing opera or at least has been able to in the past. She has chosen to sing the genra of music she likes to sing. It's her style. So you can hash all you want about how you think she should sing. but right now, it's all hot air.
@kellyclarksonismygod oh goodness the ignorance. no need to start a fight! a high G is a G6 she's hitting a G5 here which is an octave below in piano scientific notation. this means a high G is the G above high C (C6). The highest note I recall Kelly being able to hit is a F#6 in her Natural Women performance a couple of years ago.
@MusicMakesMeBri riiight well post a video of you belting a C6 its not hard? lol name how many singers that can do it live? not many at all and like i said post a video of you hitting a C6 thats a crock of shit
Who remembers Kellys performances on Carson Daly, but you can't find them? If you had or haven't watched them my latest two videos are those performances.
You should see her performance of Natural Woman on the first season of American Idol. She hits a INSANE note. It's inhuman and it's her highest note yet.
@GoTaylorSwift1 Yeah, I know. But that's in whistle register. This is full voice. She can go higher in full voice too though. Watch her complete range. It's somewhere in my channel.
I have to say, i really loved the lies G5's very nicely mixed and she was more consistent there, but my favorite is the first respect G5 LOVE that one, the growl adds a nice soulful feel to it!
Good goobly gobb...she slays those G5s. Oh and Kelly fans will be happy when I say this...she belts an Ab5 (AKA G#5) in the same performance at 0:41...
She hit a G even more times in "Jesus, O What a Wonderful Child" than what you showed...she did it an additional two times, after the first "KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!!!!"
