I think you're referring to projections. They don't actually do budgets that far in advance. So leaving aside the fact that it's not set in stone and is a "suggestion", it hasn't in fact, been spent. Some people are going around saying he spent 10 years worth of money in 100 days, which simply isn't true. It's a stupid, childish argument. Not only that, he wouldn't possibly be in charge of money for 10 years as the term limit is 8.

You're playing a name association game. Bush's name has a negative connotation. Obama's does not. Solution: Go around saying Obama = Bush and hope that it sticks in people's heads. If they were the same, or just as bad, Obama's name by itself would evoke those thoughts. Therefore saying "Obama = Bush" is proof that he isn't. If he were that bad, you would be saying "Obama = Obama." I'm glad I went to college so I don't get caught up in the stupidity that plagues our nation.

Let me make it clear what "false centristism is". It's the idea that both sides are wrong and there exists this magical middle ground, when in reality, the stuff coming from the right-wing is utter ass, and we have to accommidate it because a sigifigant portion of the electorate actually believes that bullshit.

ReliableInsider~ I am very progressive, but I sort of think that progressives are giving Obama a hard time for doing exactly what he said he was going to do, namely govern from the center. He said he wanted to bring people together, even if that meant that he had to compromise, and now when he compromises liberals get mad at him for it.
Believe me, I would rather not have the centrist policies as well, but I think that we need to give him a chance to do his thing. Just a thought.

I hate to pick on Bush but it's important to condemn real catastrophes when they are created by people in power. Something went terribly wrong in the past eight years and we can never let it happen again.
I still haven't gotten over what a joy it is to watch the even news now and watch the progress happen day by day hour by hour in contrast to the nightmare of the evening news in the past eight years when I reached the point where I, as a news junkie, literally couldn't stand to watch it.
