if you want to you can try something called "branch mining", its where you dig all the way down to bedrock and then make columns 3 blocks apart from each other and go down until you hit lava and thats a fast way to get diamonds, i got over 40 diamonds in like 40-50minutes with this method and 2 stacks of 64 iron
