Ricky probably was disgusted with himself for getting involved and maybe thinking he could do some good for Clifford and for others. I think what happened was that he accidently shot his brother. His brother was playing with the gun, and Ricky tried to take it away, and it went off. I think he was then just afraid of violence in general, but realized he had no choice but to fight the bully once he saw that there was no way out.
That was a great movie. really good message at the end. The best thing about these fights is that they are basically how kids fight, just swinging, imitating boxers, missing, etc. No apparent coreography etc. Just a raw fight between kids.

Pretty much. Funny thing is, the old adage, "violence doesn't solve anything" is more or less true when you're an adult. But when you're a kid, violence can solve a lot of problems.
Actually the fight scenes are well choreographed. I'm sure we all remember a few fisticuffs after school from our childhoods, before everyone started carrying guns. The fights I remember looked like this for the most part.
To continue, the little boy's name is Jamie. I don't know exactly how his name is spelled, but he is my mothers friends' son, and he's in elementary school, and he really looks up to me now... I used NO violent advice. His mother couldn't even figure out how I got him to not be bullied! My own mother says, "Whatever advice you gave him worked from what his mother says!" He really looks up to me, and always talks about me! He says I'm the "coolest guy!" I'm glad to hear he's happy in school now!
I've seen this movie, and it's a classic! Great Movie! One of the best movies ever! I used to get picked on, and eventually, I fought back, and they didn't mess with me after they did... ever! Bullies are just pussies who can't fight someone as tough as them, so they pick on smaller kids... I even helped give advice to a young boy I met, and I told him, I.E., "TELL them and SHOW them you aren't afraid of them!" No one messes with him anymore from what his mother told my mother! (there friends)
