For the people saying they should learn naturally, FALSE. That's not always the case.. I tried this with a 10 month old baby that still didn't kno how to crawl and just barely learned to sit up, and it's working. So thank you. :)
Using a box and then a cookie sheet seems so simple and stupid that anyone should know how to do that. So, why in the world when my second kid is learning to crawl, I am just now finding out about it?
As for not teaching kids to crawl, I agree not to push too hard, but new experiences help build neural pathways. Babies think too, believe it or not. New activities with daddy are fun. How in the world is leaving everything to themselves better than playtime that also teaches?
Thanks for posting this video. I think I'll try this for my little girl who is now 9 months old. I figure if the baby is having fun then it doesn't hurt to give them the chance to practice. Giving them opportunities to try new things is good.
She was somewhere between four and five months when this video was made. As for other comments referring to letting her figure it out naturally......I was asked to make this video specifically by a teacher ,who works with small babies, to show at her conferences . It is , however, always up to the parents discretion whats best for their own baby. Thank you for everyone's opinions :)
I have a daughter that has some delays due to cancer. I really want to teach her to crawl and came across your video. Thanks for the tips, I'm going to try them.

babies know how to crawl naturally on their own when they're READY, you shouldn't be forcing her before she's ready. but, anyway, cute baby.
