I have to say I don't agree that it was just because of that brand that the baby was safe and sound, all seats pass the same safety standards and all are just as safe as the next. It is all in having the seat correctly installed and the child strapped in properly that makes the difference between injery and non injery in a collision. I am glad the mother and baby are safe though.
@momtoDCB they are talking about the air technology. Safety First is not the only one who has this on their car seats although they were among the first in the states. The family is just grateful to Safety First for making quality car seats and saving their babies life. But I do agree it is all about installing it properly as well.
and that is why my wife and I have the Air Protect car seat for our son. =)
