La Scala is one of the premiere venues in the world and has hosted thousands of concerts and millions of concert goers. Dudamel has done more in his 20's than many conductors ever did. He is truly putting a new face on live music in this type of concert setting. The recording is what it is. There is nothing that can truly capture a live performance. Who is to say where the microphones were placed. I can tell you if they are the mics from the cameras in the openning shots it says alot.
Every moron talking about the sound needs to realize...you sound idiotic. This goes for every video on Youtube of live symphony performing, regardless of what you think- all of those people on that stage are pro (i.e. that's what they do for a living). Live music and a recording are completely different... even you fools know that. No matter what shitty laptop or speakers/headphones you have (your problem). Nothing compares to live music. & 1:58-2:02 Gustavo looks like he is fucking the world
@ProjectmixBros It's just a very, very bad recording, believe me! I've been to the Scala to listen to Mahler's 5th directed by Sinopoli and the room is all but dead.

Why are they using valve trumpets and not rotary trumpets?

Honestly, the sound is not very good.
But the orquestra is very good, yes.
And the maestro, the only thing Im going to say is to take care to talk about Dudamel, in ten years you will know why.
