I cried so hard when Claudia died in the book!!!! She's my favorite vampire character of all time. Could be the author's intention, as Claudia is partially based on Ann Rice's real life daughter who died at a very young age. All those feelings of love, regret, longing, sadness & loss are all very well translated in the book. It leaves a void that stays with you long after you're done reading it.

Amazing. I loved the vid. The movie was a very close retelling of the book, probably as close as you could get. The book was more heartbreaking and emotional in some ways, like I missed that louis didnt yell when claudia died, and Lestat was different at the end, when lous came to visit. But all in all, I loved the movie adaptation!

I didn't care much for Claudia when she died. I felt sorry for Louis, but not for Caludia. In a sense, she had been just as bad as Lestat killing wise. She delighted in it, unlike Louis. Besides, perhaps I didn't get the point of the movie, but from what I saw, Lestat was encouraging Louis to behave like a vampire. He bought things for Claudia, and generally they all looked after each other. I don't see why Claudia had to do what she did. I mean, how is Lestat any more evil than Claudia?

the movie was ok, but Claudia's story in the book is utterly heart breaking. The way she meets her end puts the reader into even further despair, as she quickly becomes most people's favorite character. It leaves a void you feel even after the third and fourth book in the series.

just as a daughter he was a wonderful father he felt so much for her he would've taken her place if he could've he Lestat was was a very generous father but got aggitated to a point of anger when something he didn't want answered was asked he loved her a lot too by far not as much as Louis did though recommend seeing the movie but its rated R cuz of some nudity and sexual scenes so if you aren't into that I don't recommend it great movie though
