To all of you who still think Alien was 'original', please check out PLANET OF THE VAMPIRES -- same basic story (human bodies are invaded by alien spirits rather than chestbursters, humans called to a smokey planet by a space beacon) and SAME visuals (THE ALIEN SHIP IS EXACTLY THE SAME). Giger is a fraud who has made a career out of replicating some very basic sci-fi illustrations ad nauseum. Scott hasn't made a good movie since Bladerunner. Both are running on fumes.

It's the same basic story with the SAME visuals as Mario Bava's Planet of the Vampires. Earth ship gets distress call, lands on a misty planet. They find a crusty fossil of an alien that didn't survive their encounter with the current menacing entity. Same damn ship design, using lens-like openings. JUST GO SEE IT, THEN YOU'LL SEE

Ridley Scott is my hero. His first Alien was marvelous and the creature's look was very unique. Many people complained that alien didn't have enough screen time in the first movie but I don't agree. It made this film look more suspensful and thrilling.

Now I wanna see prequel. i hope it'll be better than Resurrection and AVP movies

Well, going off of the life cycle of the alien, it is based off of ants and bees. So realistically the worker aliens (the one appearing in the first movie) are all probably sterile females while the Queen is the only fertile female. The facehugger is the male, the human body acts like a womb, and all the aliens born are female.

The one thing that really annoys me is that everyone always links the Alien to something sexual, alright i see that the inner mouth may resemble a penis, but i never noticed that until people started going on about it. @teletran2000 The trilogy is excellent. I know what you mean about the 4th sequel which just doesn't quite fit with the Alien story/events. Ellen Ripley dies in the the third film and that should have been it for the series. leaving a potential Alien prequel film with space jockey race and their connection with the xynomorph. or entirely on what went wrong with the Alien cargo and space jockey pilot on the crashed ship .

The story of Alien 5 will be before Alien 1.This means it will explain the alien ship in Alien 1.How it landed there with the alien eggs.
