I've tried quite a few approaches at picking up the 10. I've tried a house ball throwing it straight using the thumb, had a plastic ball drilled traditional with finger tips, and after trying different weights and styles, I've found I'm most accurate with a 12 pound ball using two fingers throwing from the center of the lane over the 3rd arrow. Most people don't realize that a strike ball drilled with just finger holes is really two balls in one. You can flip it over for a different roll.
Also, I don't throw as extreme a hook as Miller does in this video. Most people using two fingers do throw a huge hook, I'm quite the opposite. I have a few balls that have very little bite, I got over that showboating stuff a long time ago.

i know mike miller now has tendonitis cos he used 16 pounds for his strike ball.....
but anyways i started playing without thumb as well then switched to the belmonte style. the belmo style gives more security on the ball

Um, I've been bowling 16lbs with no thumb for 17 years now...absolutely zero arm, wrist, or finger problems.
And a 209 average to boot.

currently i'm using the 2 handed belmonte style as it gives me more grip on the ball.
anyways do you use the no thumb style to pick up the 10 pin too?
