I'm pretty skinny and the restraints never seem to hold me in place... So I'd rattle back and forth and I ended up getting a bruise on my arm once....does anyone smaller have experience with this ride cause it looks fun and I wanna go, but I don't want to be shaken and hurt like I got hurt in the comet and lightning racers : \

I'm going to hershey park soon, and i'll admit i'm not a big fan of roller coasters and mostly because my stomach drops like crazy when I go down a hill on like wooden roller coasters and stuff. I've never been on something like Great Bear. But is the feeling the same as when you go down a hill on a regular roller coaster?? Please reply thanks :)

@Sycholicious1012 Its a lot smoother than a wood coaster. But there are more G's. That includes negatives G's as well. But it is also so much fun!!!! Just try it once.

@Sycholic A (G) is the measurement of the force of gravity. G = Gravity. So.... You are experiencing one G right now. You know that feeling in your tummy when you go down a hill really fast? That is a Negative or 0 (G). So next time your in a car and you start accelerating you will feel the Gs pushing you back into your seat. You also feel (G)s when you make a left or right turn. Depending on how fast your going. You can increase the amount of G force exerted on the body.

@Sycholicious1012 I had that same problem when i first started riding wooden roller coasters but after i went on lightening racer like 5 times the weird feeling went away and it turned into a fun feeling. I went on great bear for the first time like 3 weeks ago and trust me its a wayy better feeling if you close your eyes for the first time then go on it again and open them and you will be fine. You dont feel anything if you close your eyes TRUST ME but then after the first time open them

I rode this ride 3 times when I went with my friend. I absolutely recommend this roller coaster to anyone! This roller coaster is competing with SooperDooperLooper for the number 1 spot on the ranking of Hershey Park roller coaster that I rode.

@fatou151: When I said that SooperDooperLooper was my favorite, that was last year and I didn't ride Great Bear. I almost went on Storm Runner this year, but the line was too long and my parents thought it was time to go. Also, I don't think I'm ready for Fahrenheit. I used to be someone who wouldn't go on a roller coaster in Hershey Park and since I started 2 years ago, I don't want to rush things yet. I might be ready for Storm Runner either the next time I go this year or maybe next year.

Oh My God!! Emma took me on this when we both visited, and I flipped out! It was my first time on it and i literally shut my eyes and screamed the WHOLE time. there was this couple in line behind us, and there's only 4 seats across, and the girlfriend was gonna get on w/ her guy but emma were freaked out and wanted 2 sit together so we felt really sorry for the girl;(. dunno y i told yah tht;) haha, lolz, em was next 2 the guy and as we went up the hill he was like "ready?" and she goes no!"
