it's about stats second and the effect the player makes on his team first. the QB position is about being a leader on and off the field and understanding your team and making the right plays. they are the leaders of the offense in the NFL, but stats are far from everything. tebow had an incredible presence on his team and led his team with his incredibly large heart and passion for the game. newton is a stud as well and i think both of these QB's will continue to do great things in this league

The only reason he had any comebacks was because he couldn't score through the first 3 quarters and his defense kept them in it causing turnovers and not allowing alot of points.

If you don't think that Cam doesn't make a good point when blaming Russell, you need to have your head examined. Russell is one of the biggest busts ever and lacked any and all motivation to do anything other than eat and more-or-less "Steal" the money the Raiders paid him. And Cam has given it all and busted his ass to be great. I respect his comments and praise him for them.
Racism has always existed in the NFL. Black quarterbacks have to deal with it on a daily basis, just like white running backs and cornerbacks don't even get the chance most of the time. Black QB's get the rap of not being smart enough, while white running backs and corners get the rap of not being athletic or fast enough. There are plenty of black QB's that are very intelligent and there are plenty of white skill players that are fast and athletic enough. Time to quit stereotyping them.

Race is without a doubt an issue with QBs, I'm not saying people are racist when picking QBs, it's because there have only been a few really successful Black QBs. Warren Moon is the best one, and Doug Williams is the only one to win a Superbowl. Donavan Mcnabb, Daunte Culpepper, Steve Mcnair (RIP) also had good careers. Despite the 2011 season, and his 2 suspended seasons, Micheal Vick is a Good QB. Those are the only ones I can think of off the back. I think Cam Newton is well on his way.

Cam Newton is playing well. He's average is ridiculous. But his team has a losing record. And I don't think they'll do better next year. He's a superb athlete. He can do a lot with the ball but he's not a guy that can inspire a team to win. He's not humble & he jumps on his team mates. And that's all he's about. He'll have a better average next year, that's for sure. But he'll miss the playoffs again next year. And you can't argue about his potential in 3 years coz he might bust a knee anytime..

it's about stats second and the effect the player makes on his team first. the QB position is about being a leader on and off the field and understanding your team and making the right plays. they are the leaders of the offense in the NFL, but stats are far from everything. tebow had an incredible presence on his team and led his team with his incredibly large heart and passion for the game. newton is a stud as well and i think both of these QB's will continue to do great things in this league

The only reason he had any comebacks was because he couldn't score through the first 3 quarters and his defense kept them in it causing turnovers and not allowing alot of points.
I'm not a fan of a rival team, in fact my team beat him by 40 points this season. I just hate when a garbage player gets such recognition that is undeserved.

Racism has always existed in the NFL. Black quarterbacks have to deal with it on a daily basis, just like white running backs and cornerbacks don't even get the chance most of the time. Race is without a doubt an issue with QBs, I'm not saying people are racist when picking QBs, it's because there have only been a few really successful Black QBs. Warren Moon is the best one, and Doug Williams is the only one to win a Superbowl. Donavan Mcnabb, Daunte Culpepper, Steve Mcnair (RIP) also had good careers. Despite the 2011 season, and his 2 suspended seasons, Micheal Vick is a Good QB. Those are the only ones I can think of off the back. I think Cam Newton is well on his way.

Cam Newton is playing well. He's average is ridiculous. But his team has a losing record. And I don't think they'll do better next year. He's a superb athlete. He can do a lot with the ball but he's not a guy that can inspire a team to win. He's not humble & he jumps on his team mates. And that's all he's about. He'll have a better average next year, that's for sure. But he'll miss the playoffs again next year. And you can't argue about his potential in 3 years coz he might bust a knee anytime..

@imasonfree thats the media saying that, but in my opinion, no matter the will power, it is tough to resist temptation, especially women. Something with Tebow seems a bit off to me. His ass isn't a saint...He's done dirt, too, his shit just hasn't come out, yet.
