I would respectfully disagree with pkssca - it is in honor of Amir Khusro 's love for his 'sheikh' Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya R.A. It is widely believed and authentic historians have repeatedly stated the fact that followers of spiritual sufism have many times started their journey by their first eye contact to who ever they ultimately came to revere as their 'sheikh' and murshid. Read 'Allah ke Wali' and 'Allah ke Safeer' by Khan Asif. A pair of beautiful books very authentically researched.
