It doesn't matter about a false start it only records from the time you break the beam till you trip the finish line beam.... He could've sat there for 2 seconds late on the tree but the time he ran would've still been the same
@thegoof529 even so (it was a false start) any time he gained because of it he did lose because if you notice he actually drifted to the left as he went down the track and then corrected for it by coming back to the right. so all in all had he not gone early and kept the car straight (which isnt neccassarily easy) it probably would have been the same time.
@NAP51DMustang The clock don't start or stop until the car moves, either redlight or sleeping on the tree the time shown is the time taken to get to trigger the finish line beams.
What's so amazing is that both runs were a little out of the groove.What's even more amazing to me,is that it beats the Super Stock A/Automatic record,formally a class ruled by Hemi 'Cudas....This is also coming from a GM fan,mind you,but,I have to call it like it is...That Ford is FAST!!
