I think that Icecreamhead is the scum in Pirates. I think bashing him is all in good fun. I'm not saying he's real or anything. I just think he's such an evil character that I can't tell who the monster in the Pirates sequels is.

Oh, some other things. Norrington did warn Elizabeth about the fleet. And he couldnt have killed Jones because it wasnt his destiny to become the captain if the Flying Dutchman. That was Wills destiny. Also, after Will found out Elizabeth didnt love Jack and she just stabs Jack in the back to save her skin, what does the romantic lover do? He grabs her and forces her up against a pillar asking how he can trust her. Norrington had far too much respect for Elizabeth to ever treat her that way.

Norrington could have taken on Bootstrap Bill and killed him. The writers said he was one of the best swordsmen in movie, but he did not attempt to kill Bootstrap. Also, he wouldnt go to the locker because he wasnt claimed, he would continue on to some other realm of being. You can go ahead and dislike him but stop attacking him and assuming he deserved death.

Bootstrap is twice Icecreamhead's size and strengthened by his "fishyness". Icecreamhead isn't the best, he gets trumped by Will and Elizabeth. Even Jack.

Norrington died because he took his attention off Bootstrap Bill in order to save Elizabeth BECAUSE he loved her so much. He set Elizabeth free from their engagement and the Flying Dutchman because he loved her. When you love someone you set them free regardless of the outcome it has for you. And when Norrington dies, Elizabeth is sorrowful, but she carries on so that his death was not in vain. The movie doesnt give Elizabeth the opportunity to mention him again.

When does he ever prove he loved her? Giving Beckett the chest is a lovely example. How could Elizabeth see him from where she was in the water? Why would she care? He was trying to shoot Bootstrap and he almost killed her. If she was sorrowful, she would've mentioned to Will or Jack that Icecreamhead died by Bootstrap.

Elizabeth never forgave him 4 selling her 2 Beckett. She doesn't even mention him again. If he was such a good man, at least Elizabeth would mention how he died. You did notice he could've killed Elizabeth numerous times and he almost shot Bootstrap. That's why 4:50 and 5:16 are my favorite bits. Good riddance, Icecreamhead! I hope he enjoys hermit crabs because that's all that's in the Locker.

If you had a semblance of reason or even experienced the reality of life at all, you wouldnt so vehemently hate Norrington. What kind of cruel, sadistic person would wish anyone dead? Yes, Norrington faltered, he lost his way, but in the end he acknowledges his faults. He said, I had nothing to do with your fathers death. That doesnt absolve me of my other sins. He is repentant and Elizabeth does forgive him. That is why she says, Come with us. James, come with me.

Icecreamhead helped Beckett kill people who didn't deserve to die, so it's only fair he dies too. The only thing he's good at is lying. He lied to Elizabeth's face just like he lied to her when he took the chest. Elizabeth is vulnerable; Will's not there, she just got made Captain and Lord and almost forced upon by Sao Feng, captured, found out the truth about Bootstrap...of course she'd ask him to come. She's got a lot on her plate and not thinking.

I know he's a fictional character, but why shouldn't I hate him? It's not like he's a good man. He blames others for faults they didn't do to him when he should blame himself for losing his job. He's a coward because he denies his mistakes and flaws rather than admit them like a man. I just can't see what others see in that horrid excuse for a creature. He's pure villain in my eyes.

This must be one of the saddest videos I've ever seen! I really love it, though I think it kind of ruined the mood when Davy Jones says at the end after Norrington has died "I take that as a no". I've found that line a bit comical since the first time I saw the movie and even then thought it ruined one of the saddest moment from the whole movie.. But anyways, magnificent job!

I can see your point, but I wanted the exchange to show (as the film did) that he looked back with regret and wanted his last action in life to be purely selfless. Perhaps, I could have ended it with the thrust of the sword.... Anyway, thanks for taking the time to comment.

Though I wouldn't consider it perfect, this is one of my favorite videos- I worked very hard planning the timeline and playing with the effects...and even now I can be drawn in despite being its "author".
