i feel sorry for you guys having to pay so much for your phones in the colonies through at & t. You can get the iphone 3gs in britain for £45.00 pm, free phone and the hero is even better at £30.00 pm, free phone. Think some people are being done up the arse by the phone companies!!!

Do I want a massive scroll list of all apps? My iPhone can show 16 apps on one "page", plus the base 4, and still doesn't look cluttered. With 3 thumb swipes, I just paged through 48 apps. The "Hero" only shows about 6 or 7 apps before you have to scroll again. While I assume the Hero allows you to have a "primary apps" page, I can just as easily put all my choice apps on the iPhone on the first page.

You can switch it so it's like a 4x4 grid and you can still scroll like the list, but it could still probably get cluttered because I'm not sure if it lets you change it out of alphabetical order :/

you can make as many clear pages as you want... try having anythign BUTTT app shortcuts on your iphone.. can you have a twitter page? sorry, how about a weather page? sorry. incase you didnt notice each screen holds 4x5 apps (thats 20 cause your obviously lacking in the smarts a little) per page... x7 pages, ... 140 apps if you so choose to set your phone up that way... it's just a shame you think your better because you CAN'T customize your homescreens.... SUCKSSSSSS for YOUUUU

Not a fan of the "chin" that this phone has. Won't slide into my pocket as easy as the iPhone. Plus, it's just plain uglier.

I see you've still got the 1.5 firmware update.. the android market on 1.6 is a lot better.. It'll probely take a bit longer for modified versions of android to be updated.

@Mark7BD the hero won't be updated to 1.6. htc will jump straight to 2.0. and yes, it takes some time to modify the sense ui for 2.0

Contacts management : where the interaction is amazing on the hero. Menus : which are much more organized and easy to use.Virtual Keyboard : where HTC Hero did a great job I-phone is far behind. Handiness : because the integration of googlemap, googlecalendar, googlecontact,gmail,facebook,t­weeter makes the phone really handy.Compatibility : the HTC Hero has Flash :-),Open source: the OS Android isnt app-lock

My opinion for Iphone lovers and I use the Iphone. The Iphone is Still the fastest and more responsive, Apple really did great job here (Better processor though), Still have a lot more software available (for the moment),Screen is a little nicer. On the other hand the I-phone is far behind in term of, Interface : where the Hero has a huge advanced with an incredible personalization.

Ignoring the fact that it's just beautifully stunning (making the iphone look like a commodore 64)... It's also getting a windows mobile 7 update. I wouldn't get too excited about the iphone if i were you.

I'm not sure how it compares with the iPhone, but from my experience with the US version on Verizon (the Droid Eris), the picture and video quality is rather good, and the camera is 5MP.

That phone looks very unresponsive and slow, very unlike the iPhone that's very very responsive and FAST. I also like the app-store for the iPhone where there are extreme amount of free apps that are useful. Interesting that there are a app to make the HTC to behave like a iPhone.....

I agree that the iPhone is better because of the speed, but actually the unlocked price of the Hero is much cheaper at least where I live. The Hero costs $499 and the 16GB 3GS is $699, the 3G is $599 and the 32GB is $799...

The funny thing is that it costs these companies far less than $200 to make these phones. Why do they need to sell them at such high prices? Apple would make a profit STILL if they sold iPhones at $200 unlocked.
