  • Who let this guy hold a camera?

  • isn't that lovely: a over 250k DM (price from 1983) expensive car doesn't even have a radio remote control. people today are not be able to open a car door by key. a great 80's car.

  • One of the cars i would own in my dream billionaires garage.

    My reasons are...

    #1. Exterior shape.

    #2. Very rare.

    #3. Aston Martin.

#4. Practical boot and interior comfort.

aston martin Zagato Vantage of 87, Lagonda series 1 or 5 , DB5 volante, Vantage 600, and a Db4 GTZ sanction 3, please...

  • Saw one of these at Lyme. Looks like a Volvo, feels like a Rolls Royce, drives like a Lamborghini.

  • The speedometer looks quite futuristic at the time and it still is.

  • Nice one, mate!

    Ansoy from Melbourne.

  • i like the car, but the hell were they smoking when they designed that interior. That steering wheel is HORRIBLE, and the display is plain. and where the buttons are. the series 1 is a lot better. the interior of this thing is horrible

  • Looks like an uglier version of a BMW 8 Series.

Still I quite like this car.

  • i rather the car next to it!

  • why the hell would you buy that!

  • This is a beautiful example of the rare Lagonda.

  • I've always liked the look of the Aston Martin Lagonda.

  • The dash looks like an arcade game! It was known for the new technology inside, but was tainted by the numbers of instrument panal pack failures, which made this one of the worlds worst cars... yes it true. go to Barnes & Noble, its in a book called Worlds Worst Cars by Craig Cheetham on page 13. Expery says : " The floorpans tended to rot with surprising alacrity."

  • Roger Moore has one of this???

  • What a crazy car. It's moon priced, a gas hog and so full of flaws, and shaped like a dust buster. The Lagonda looks like when someone had the freak idea of making a given concept car in series without any further optimization. (Only DeLorean can beat this - Back to the Future...)

What made the electronics so unreliable?

    - Were parts shaking loose (e.g. socketed ICs) or did it overheat?

    - How big was the computer? (many arcade videogame PCBs of that age were huge).

  • - Are recordings of its speech synth online?

    - Were there software bugs?

It certainly sucks when you drive around at 120MPH when suddenly all pedals and steering wheel position freeze while a dashboard CRT displays:

    >SYNTAX ERROR in line 3366

    >READY *

  • ugliest car i have ever seen

  • Just lovin'it!

    Greeyz from Holland

  • that dashboard is still pretty futuristic today all those touch buttons

  • why he did not turn it on?

  • What a project. I really admire people who can do this sort of work so well. I wouldnt know where to start.

  • Well restored Lagonda to her own glory. The design is pure elegance as every Aston should be. The dashboard and control panel were futuristic back then, and still are. Glad to see you keeping the classic and sharing the experience.

  • Even the way the bonnet hinges is just plain awesome.

Fixed rear windows was that a standard feature of all 'gondas?

  • Thanks for the video, I loved it, you have done a great job and worth every penny you spent on that thing. well done, I'm sure it brings you immense pleasure

  • Absolutely stunning. !!!!

  • I'm Glad you picked this Color, Very Elegant Combination, and I like the quality of the work. The wheels are the BBS wheels that came on the mid 1980's Aston-Martins, I had the same set on my 1984 Vantage.

  • I agree, this car is absolutely stunning

  • The tires seem too wide - I think those are not the factory tires. Also, (as he said) the color is not a Lagonda color. The color suit is part of the design, not a good idea to change it.

  • I'm in love with the Lagonda! Its shape was described "cocaine-thin" by a journalist... Well, very masculine indeed.

  • Lovely definition for the most beautiful saloon ever made IMHO.

  • Let me get this straight, his name is Peter Wise and he has an Aston Martin Loganda??? The

    mind boggles!

  • fantastici car !!! a legend !!!

  • It´s a 82 btw

  • It´s a really cool car :) Anyone know a good site where i can order parts such as spoiler and bumper to an Aston Martin Lagonda?

  • I have always wanted one since I was a kid. Thanks for the great tour! I can't imagine what you have into it, however, I bet it is worth it.

  • I am not an Aston fan but you have done so much to this car. Keep it forever.

  • Shame these cars had so many problems. Amazing, wacky design!

  • congratulations!! this may be the most daring design ever a beautiful car.

  • you still wouldnt have one in your collection, i know you might not have a collection of cars, but these are just so cool!

  • I love this car

  • I would kill for that car.

  • Thats the best example of an Aston Martin Lagonda that i have ever seen.

Your quite right it's not about the money,

    Good luck

  • ........its not about the money.... its about owning one of the coolest cars ever made..!! Nice one mate... good luck.

  • i love the history of how many problems Aston had even trying to launch it ^.^

  • If I were in Australia, I'd buy you a pint. Phenominal car.I hate to think how much you've spent on renovation!!

  • that a nice car dude, keep it.

  • good luck with the car. most of all good luck with the electronics :-)

    Gerhard from Germany

  • its a very rare car that had more than practical technical gizmos for its time --which sometimes caused issues --but what a lovely and rare car

    nice one mate!

    -ali from pakistan

  • i just love the lagonda... thanks for a great video
