  • Haha, I tried to zoom in with the mouse wheel. :p

  • Beautiful landing

  • Smoothie landig!!

  • wow

  • nadherna masinka :)

  • tropo bello

  • bom pouso!!!

  • i like how the A380 looks like it just sits there in the sky.Keep the BIG airplanes flying!!!

  • Wonderful video

  • SMOOTH!

  • did you ever wonder at 0:57 how the hell did humans get this beast to fly?

  • Nice plane but is really a step backward from Concorde as it flies at conventional speeds. Its size is amazing but its not beautiful and sleek as Concorde. I prefer the B747.

  • @shulman2

    And i do prefer 787.

  • Great video's man ! Can you subscribe to me . i subscribed to you !

  • show!

  • What a crosswind!

  • Boom, runway instantly dry!

  • fantastic ;)

  • can it be YUL allways offers pretty good crosswinds ?

  • some serious crosswinds blowing that big motha all over the sky, it will take me a while to warm to the A380, I find it a bit of an ugly duck, functional to its task and nothing more, even decades later I still love the look of the 747 and to an extent, I think its the fact the front of the 747 looks so neet and streamlined and A380 looks so..deformed and irregular, the upper deck swells out wider than the lower deck and cockpit or something odd like that

  • @PangeaSpreads I have a good reason to don't like it. They are full of problems, first engine explode, now their WING is cracking because the airplane is to heavy. Best part is AIRBUS NEW and did not tell anyone!

  • @AndrewSephiroth you know what I'm not a dramatist but the 747 is as expected after a life span stemming from 1969, a proven big commercial aircraft so after some 42 or so years later, and after moon landings and Concorde, I can't help but feel disappointed that all the top brains and engineers involved in creating an airline to take us into the next century, came up with a conventional looking jet offering little more than the 1969 747 idea, yawn!! Sardine can with wings

  • @PangeaSpreads You are wrong my friend, look the 787 its a new airplane, and will change all the aviation from now and on. Makeing it cheaper and also I expect, more confortable. The A380 no big deal, but the 787 thats the NEW CENTURY!

  • Great job! I don't know if I'd fly on an A380 right now, because I've read about cracks in the wings on some of them.

  • @dave4shmups Actually all of them. They want to ground all A380!

  • why do only two of the A 380 s engines have got reverse?

  • @MrMrToastbrot The main reason is that the two outboard engines are so far out from the wings that the thrust reversers on those engines could rip up the terrain on the outside of the runway. Two thrust reversers is more than enough to help slow down the A380.

  • @YULspotter why the fuck? xD is it even possible to land safe with such a big plane without reverse ? i mean .... it would be dangerous or not? ...

  • Comment removed

  • @MrMrToastbrot The original design also had NO reversers, something the certification authorities forced them to change.

  • An inexpensive tripod would bring out the potential of your videography. Not being critical. I'm just trying to help.

  • @aerialpic It's was not possible to use a tri-pod on this day. There was a pretty strong crosswind and the wind was causing the tri-pod to wobble. The tripod was just too unstable to use it.

  • @YULspotter ever considered this? /watch?v=LLlJl7TbXTA Home-made picture stabilizer for about 1$

  • @YULspotter I can see the effect of crosswind, the A380 was crabbing during its final. Awesome video by the way! :)

  • Powerful reverse thrust spraying up water off the wet runway. Cool video.

  • @vfr802 With only 2 engines with reverse thrusters, that goes to show how powerful they are with that amount of spray being blown outward. Thanks for the video :)

  • like it but u have to learn how to hold a

    camera

  • Very smooth landing!

  • Good thing he avoided that earthquake before landing

  • nice vid yul.

  • Bravo! muito lindo vídeo.abraços

  • so thts how they dry the runway

  • How about that for French elegance

  • great landing

  • very nice

  • Did the guy next to you get enough photos?

  • the day 1 of these things goes down will be a bad day. touch wood

  • 16+ people are boeing engineers

  • Crab-tastic landing!

  • such a great capture, one of YouTube's best captures of an A380 landing

  • Hey:

All the smoke that comes out from the wheels seems to me like a fire

    is that normal?.,.

  • @0013rafael that's not fire, but water ! see other comments

  • What a magnificent bird !

  • freakin awesome landing from the pilots there! amazing! good capture!

  • Holy crap man that's a Hell of a nice airplane I love the A380 it's one of my favorite airplanes in the world. It reaches the top list.

  • Wow...perfect landing

  • Smooth landing. Smooth video.

  • awesome video man... never knew u could get THIS close to a landing

  • that landing was a greaser......

  • @somethinextra what does the term greaser mean?

  • @skbenergy A Greaser,Slang for a perfect landing in an aircraft,Most of the Space Shuttles touch-downs were Greasers.....

  • @somethinextra oh thanks man :) i have seen those comments on my videos but i had no clue lol

  • This video went viral on Botswana

  • I think the camera moved more than the plane. Hope your not a surgeon! dam!

  • they wernet birs they appeared then went

  • that was badass in 1080p!

  • @factoredin from what I've heard they did it so they don't rip up all the grass on either sides of the runway because they are so far out they hang over the grass

  • 747 r more good in looks n shape..

  • Very familiar shutter sound in the background there! 40D? 50D?

  • @janernn Good observation....

  • Is it only me? Did anyone else see the lights past the bottom left side of the screen at 0:39?

  • @winsun96 Those are some birds actually. But they do look a bit like lights.

  • @YULspotter Haha, ok. At the beginning I thought they were the strobe lights of another jet taking off. (I don't know how the runways are at YUL, plz don't criticise me for my ignorance)

  • @winsun96 probably birds geese is my best guess

  • @winsun96 those were birds

  • smooth as silk

  • this is the only a380 ive seen land smoothly

  • Great, like it...

  • looks like the thrust reverser on engine 4 isnt working

  • @leo3214226 The A380 doesn't have have thrust reversers on it's outboard engines.

  • @leo3214226 the a380 just have the reverse in the engine 2 and in the engine 3 ok?

  • Wow how long is this runway?

  • @joshuapal123 About 11,000 feet

  • @YULspotter Wow in my place it's only about 8,530 ft. long

  • @YULspotter Hi dleeho fellow Montrealeeno.

  • GOURGIOUS

  • Now that's a landing. Doesn't get better than that.

  • MY GOD look at that amazing landing and reverse thrust, UNBELIEVABLE !!

  • Amazing landing !!

  • Reverse Thrust only on 2 engines ?

  • Facinante, Genial, Fashion Video!! que encantador Video..! Que elegante se ve el Airbus con el logo de Air France.! De las Mejores Aerolineas del mundo! Aterrizaje Ecepcional! =)

  • The largest flying coffin

  • @orientgate ha!ha!ha!...poor ignorant twat. Sad thing is you don't even seem to know that statistically more people die from road accidents yearly.

  • this fat ass plane looks hard to control

  • 747-8 to the trash

  • What's the deal with these unstable cameramen ???

  • Also 0:40 under the plane. What are these lights?

  • @leikep85 landing lights

  • 0:08 - 0:11 weird object above the plane.

  • @leikep85 That's a bird dude....don't tell me you are thinking its a UFO, continue the video and you can clearly see it flapping its wings.

  • @leikep85 Thats called a bird.

  • the place where this video was shot from is it public?

  • Smooth landing!

  • An emirates A380 just flew over while I was watching this.

  • Beautiful machine. Great video!

  • @thiggins621 its uggly as hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lordwalkhere Settle down, spaz.

  • Show de bola

  • Perfect landing!

  • Whaa! great...

  • why he reverce thrust on 2 engien only ??

  • @carpfisherman25

the wings are so big, it goes past the runway's width; the outer two would injest and/or tear up the things around the runway.

  • @carpfisherman25 u have far too much power if u land with 4 motors reverse thrusted....

  • @carpfisherman25 thats how the plane was bulilt only reversers on the iner engines

  • Id say a really nice and smooth landing !

  • well, the a380 what an ugly plane take the boeing 747 he has a nice form. or the mcdonnel douglas md-11 also nice form. a380 is just made as a big plane no form all as long as he's bigger then the 747. airbus fucks boeing rocks!!

  • @lordwalkhere I can see you know your stuff. You're an expert with solid arguments

  • @sonnylatchstring im doing an education called aviation operations or flight planner. all the kids inmy class hates the A380 i do too. look at the a380 with that came thingy in the roof :S there u can see its just made so its the biggest (but ugliest) plane in the world. and don't forget guys: airbus sucks boeing rocks

  • @lordwalkhere Du wiederholst Deine haltlosen Argumenten

  • @sonnylatchstring DU BIST EIN SCHWEINHUND !! MOF!!!

  • @lordwalkhere You're just an infant with a loud mouth, stuff it.

  • how did you get in that runway?

  • It looks sad, but physics are relentless. Transaero of Russia is the newest A380 subscriber.

  • A real Jumbojet

  • surperb!

  • I wish so much i was there, amazing landing with nice sun!

  • hahahaha.. it looks like its just floating 0:17 - 0:30

  • @elroriveraify Trust me this beast of a bird is not floating lol

  • @FlightSimXGamer365 haha its funny thats all.. (=

  • that was the smoothest landing i've ever seen!

  • i heard thai and swiss are on order for a380

  • I've seen that thing land at IAD. It looks like it just floats to the ground

  • I wonder why such a new and massive plane hasn't got winglets on it. Aren't they supposed to enhance fuel efficiency and overall cruising range by reducing induced drag?

  • @uchilledfrance they have wingtip fences.

  • @zhuodd Yes indeed...not sure how I missed them. Thanks mate. Cheers. :-)

  • @uchilledfrance Actually, the A380 has a type of winglet called a wing fence. It's the small triangle shapped part facing both up and down at the wingtip. Besides the A380, Airbus has uses them on the A310, A318, A319, A320 and A321 models.

  • @YULspotter Thanks mate. I just noticed the winglet fences on the plane. I'd somehow missed them the first time around. Cheers :-)

  • @YULspotter A380 cannot have winglet. Reason why is that the wing of A380 is already too long (79.75 meters) and FAA allowed up to 80 meters for gate access. Unlike Wingfence, winglet(blended wing) is installed at an angle which will exceed the limitation set by FAA. Hope this makes sense~! ^^

  • @uchilledfrance also putting winglets on the a380 would make it a tight squeeze for the 80 x 80 box a selling point airbus use to make it compatible with existing airports that use 747s.the current wing tip fence works fine as the wing itself is already optimize to be efficient .adding winglets would increase weight too which might not yield that much anyway to justify.a smaller wing would yield more but this was done deliberately to accommodate future models such as the talked about a380-900

  • @uchilledfrance winglets are really for older frames with less optimize wing, newer aircraft have better wing design due to updated understanding of wake and improved testing. you will notice that flexed raked wing tips are now coming the norm on newer design

  • @uchilledfrance A380 and fuel efficiency dont belong in the same sentence

  • @trabang Efficiency and low consumption are not the same. Search: Efficiency in Wikipedia and learn it (See you the article "in physics" too).

  • @SAACAAS Who cares, the comment was said in a joking matter because of how extravagant the 380 is. I mean literal definitions come on, its a youtube comment not an exam. Are u serious?

  • @trabang That's exactly why major companies over the world are buying A380, they are totally crazy about burning oil for no reason...

  • @uchilledfrance

    It does have winglets

  • Basically winglets help to reduce induced drag and improve performance (also increases aspect ratio slightly). However, the Airbus A380 has very large wing area due to the large wingspan that gives it a high aspect ratio. So, it need not have to worry about aspect ratio but needs only to tackle the induced drag problem. Therefore, it does not require the winglets, but merely ?wingtip fences? similar to those of the Airbus A320.

  • Vive AIRBUS!!

  • A little crosswind there!

  • nice fucking landing!!!!!!

  • BUT IT IS A SOLID WELL BUILT AIRCRAFT AND SAFE.

WE CANNOT AFFORD ANY MISHAPS OF THIS ONE BECAUSE FINANCIAL VIABILITY OF MANY AIRLINES ARE RIDING ON.

IT DOES NOT LOOK PARTICULARLY UGLY EITHER.

IT REMINDS ME OF CANADIAN GEESE WHICH MIGRATES BETWEEN ARTICS AND USA ON LAWN POWER.

  • A LOT TO SLOW DOWN THIS THING.

IT SEEMS IT TAKES ABOUT FOUR TIMES TO TAKE COMPARED WITH A330 SEIRES.

IT WILL BE LESS SUSCEPTIBLE TO CROSS WINDS SO THAT CAN BE A TRADE OFF.

I DON'T THINK THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WILL GENERATE MUCH FASCINATIONS.

ALSO ITS DECENT LOOKS STIFFER THAN OTHER AIRCRAFT BECAUSE IT RELIES ON ENGINES THAN THE WING TO GET THE LIFTS.

AS SOON AS THE PUSHES ARE DOWN THE AIRCRART DECENDS RAPIDLY BECAUSE ITS WING IS GENERATING PROPOTIONALLY LESS LIFT PER ITS WEIGHT.

  • ALSO THESE AIRCRAFTS FLY BETWEEN MODERN AND EXPANDED AIRPORTS ONLY SO I THINK THEY ARE SAFE ALTHOUGH ITS OPERATIONAL MARGIN OF ERROR IS SIGNIFICANTLY SQUEEZED TO THE MINIMUM.

FOUR ENGINE WILL CLEARLY MAKE IT MORE STABLE AND SAFER THAN SMALLER TWO ENGINE ONES.

I AM AMAZED BY THE LAST TWO SECONDS BEFORE THE TOUCH DOWN.

    IT IS SO SMOOTH.

IT ALSO USES ONLY INNER TWO ENGINES FOR BACK THRUST EFFECTIVELY.

I DON'T KNOW HOW LOADED THIS ONE IS BUT ONLY THING I CONCERN ABOUT THIS ONE IS

  • YOU KNOW I THINK THE PILOTS STILL DID NOT GET THE HANG OF THIS TYPE OF AIRCRAFT YET.

THIS IS SO FAR CLOSER TO THE LIMIT FOR MASS AIR TRANSIT.

I AM SURE THAT THIS WILL BECOME ONE OF MOST POPULAR AIRCRAFT FOR MAJOR INTERCONTINENTAL ROUTES ALTHOUGH I KNOW THAT AIRLINES ARE HESITANT TO PUSH TO ITS DISTANCE LIMIT YET.

THE OPERATORS ARE NOT PILOTS BUT AIRCRAFT HANDLERS.

ECONOMICALLY NONE CAN BEAT THIS AIRCRAFT BECAUSE FUEL COST PER PASSANGER IS ONLY ONE FACTOR.

  • I'm sure it's just me, but ... does anyone else feel a little leery about this plane...?

I mean, sure, it's probably nothing. I'm positive it's absolutely safe and well-built ... but all the wing-flex and its clumsiness on landing makes me wonder. Most videos I see, the A380 *drops* those last few feet and wobbles around before stabilizing, whereas other aircraft seem to glide down gracefully.

Again, probably just me, but ... I wonder sometimes if Airbus made TOO big a plane...?

  • I love the trust reserve! I got over 100 aviation video ;-) When you want visit my channal!

  • 0:43 UFO

  • @bvestationfan the reason why they reverse only in engine 2 and 3 because if they reverse on 4 it will rip off the runway

  • EXCEPTIONAL !!!

  • cross wind

  • FAKE air france plane !!! it didn't crash

  • I was on this fly. Very smooth take off in CDG and landing in YUL. We had a very nice fly. I was on seat 83 , upper deck.

  • Ein starkes Video !!! Klasse !!! Gut gemacht !!!

  • Just imagine the wake turbulence after an A380!!

Not so smart with an Cessna 172 on short final right behind this huge bitch!

  • @elyasf Wake turbulence is roughly the same as with 747. Boeing fans tried to impose much more space after A380 landings and take-offs, but Airbus demonstrated clearly it wasn't necessary.

  • nice video! where are you standing to get this view? ch. Saint-Francois?

  • nice video :)
