  • i wish i could dance so wild . this is very inspiring

  • It's rumored that people of African ancestry have an out standing sense of rythm and coordination. Seeing this dance its not hard to see why. Generations of elaborate ancestral dance has been ebedded in the African DNA. Truely Truely remarkable and pleasing to the eye.

  • I think some of the people in this video are from the stage production "Umoja." What's in this video isn't Umoja, but you can find that DVD on eBay. It has a lot of this type of dancing in it.

  • Thanks Poton1 for your responce. I will check eBay out and will let you know the result. I have the Umoja video and i agree with you.

    Lele700

  • Proton1, I checked eBay but was unable to find said video. Do you by any chance know the Title of the video? Thanks. Lele700

  • Excelente, éste tipo de videos nos hacen ver lo hermoso que son las tradiciones a pesar de la devastadora historia que el continente Africano pasó despues de la Conferencia de Berlín. Atte. Luis Fernando Vargas B.

  • CULTURE 100000 YRS STRONG

  • Sorry to say... modern "culture" is probably only about 10,000 years old at best anywhere... at any rate the human race is only about 100,000 years extant on this planet.

But Africa is full of beautiful songs, culture and tradition.

  • Super dance ! As Sénégambian I would like to visit South Africa!

  • Does anyone know the name of this show? What an amazing experience. It would be great to see a video of the whole show, or to experience the wonderful talents if the show toured Australia.

  • Lovely dancing! Nowhere else can you find such fun besides Africa my Africa the land of great Savannah's

  • Did you Attend St. George's primary??

    Beautiful.

  • Great video!

  • hey quick question...whats this video about?

  • That's beautiful

  • i wish i still lived in the bush, chill dance and blow a hell of chronic smoke. Jah bless Africa. mizizi dot net

  • good traditional dancing...I wonder if South-Africans can beat us Fijians at traditional dancing...we're probably more hi-powered and energetic...good stuff anyways...

  • Why does it have to be a competition? Culture is culture.

  • @SumtingSweeter i dont know maybe just to make them want to push harder its pretty cool that its some of the first dances

  • Absolutely deal, the culture is not competition but this world all is manipulated with the phrase "survival of the fittest" and that is the reason why we compete. La cultura no es competencia, la cultura son practicas y forma de vida.

  • this was beautiful!! i love the way they sing it's so natural and their harmony is just perfection. zi love the little bot at the end!

    aaaaaa..........this is great man!!!!!!!!

    love it

  • "nkosi sikeli africa" prolly spelled that wrong, but it was a cool dance. doesnt the guy at 45-6 look like usher? and i loved the end, i was like "oh snap! he just had baby!" loved it tho.

  • This is very nice, it reminds me of 1977 when the Ipitombi came to Nigeria with Miriam Makeba.

In those days in Nigeria, at the back of our class rooms, we had a box called ANC freedom collection box for paying school fees of SouthAfrica refugees.

Im married to a beautiful SA Woman who has the manners of an Angel.

It hurts to see that uptill today, more than 99% of people I met in my visits and extensive travels in SouthAfrica are not even aware of this Nigerian connection with the struggle.

  • I agree with you totally!

  • Well said Bongiwe! People are ignorant and don't even bother doing some research.

  • Yeah, that first dance is of the Tswana people of Botswana but also in South Africa. The little boy was doing Zulu dance. The attire, rhythm, dance, all vary from group to group. Only the educated eye can recognize and identify the different people represented. to a layman, it's just "african dance", lol

  • that kid is cute, great stuff. mother land is calling

  • Thank you so much for this. I'm stuck in a frozen wasteland right now (commonly known as New Zealand) and this really reminds me of home.

  • These might be South African dancers but the dance is originally from Botswana. Please, can anyone tell me where I can buy any such dancing on DVD.

  • thanks. you are actually the only person that has put a video and named the title from the country the dance came from instead of just calling it african dance.

  • the stornger U hit the ground with ur feet the more respect people of Power would give U > hit it hard so everybody know that fear is no longer living inside ur heart >> bless U africa

Zulu ,,, we africans everywhere are so proud of Ur history .

  • I LUV DIS

  • Wonderful. Inspiring. Child revealed near the end was amazing.

  • wow makes me wanna go to my motherland

  • woooooooow luvd it
